This is probably a reach (welcome to the week between episodes syndrome!), but I kind of thought the entire thing was an allegory for Walt and Jesse, with Chekhov representing the ricin. After all, this "Chekhov's Gun" device has been thrown around so often when discussing this show, it may have been a nod from the writers to the fans.

Walt was completely acting like Gus this episode. I need to rewatch it but just how he acted in the car wash and even in the bathroom, setting the towel down and vomiting similar to when Gus was vomiting. Just his mannerisms and the way he speaks.

Good episode. The way Season 5 Part 1 left off, it was easy to think that most of the rest of the series would be a sort of cat and mouse Hank trying to figure out Walt and Walt making up stories/excuses. I remember the Gretchen Black theory (instead of Gale) of signing the book. I'm glad that took care of the "whodunit" aspect in 1 episode. Hank's a damn good detective.

I was hoping Hank died on the drive home and the end of the series unfolded another way besides Hank unraveling it all. However, he must not have unraveled it all if they show an older Walt going back to his old home. How would Walt still be out there if Hank nailed him? Unless that is Walt right before Hank takes him down. Hank seems a little on the fence about what to do because of who it is...even if he is going back and trying to connect the dots now.

way too early to nail him. he still has to gather up all the evidence and piece together to form a case. like walt said, hes got a lot of work to do to convince the jury that Walt did all these things.

What sucks for Hank is that he has absolutely no evidence linking Walt to ANYTHING. As far as the book goes, all Walt has to do is deny ever owning that book. It's perfectly clear Gale admired Whitman so that note could be viewed as some fantastical note he wrote to someone who would never read it. Hank has no case but I am very curious as to how he'll go from here.

I don't think so, but, safe to say, they will eventually. They are already in a full-fledged cryptic discussion about spoilers that they are reading, which already has no place in this thread. And they are talking about the range of emotions that we will feel when we see what happens.

    People just can't stop themselves.

Walt needs to have someone off Lydia quick. Gus would never leave any loose ends like that. Also, have someone go to Hanks and just burn everything in the boxes.

One more thing. Sorry for the triple post guys.

When Lydia is in the car wash she tells Walt, "You're putting me in a box." When he turns down going back to cooking and having her answer to the moving parts. Next episode is titled "Buried Alive". I might be reaching though.

It's taking every fiber of my being to stop me from clicking the spoiler link posted a few pages back. These breaks are agonizing.
