***Correction Rian Johnson said that AMC sent out 2 screeners. One for ep 1 and ep 2. So the spoilers for next week's ep will most likely be correct. After that, they won't be. This also explains why what I know about eps 3 and 4 isn't anything like what the spoilers said
After looking at the prevew for next week I think it might actually be right. If it is I'm just getting so many chills right now, I don't think I've ever read something so amazing, dark, and fantastic at the same time, especially that last scene....
agreed. only a matter of time before somebody who is lame enough to read those spoilers won't be able to keep it to themselves. sucks but dems the breaks. guess i'll check in to hear everybody's thoughts after finale night.
ohhhh ok. Well still....it could be right? Who knows. If it is a fan fic. thats pretty ****ing amazing.
Well, I hope that isn't the case. What I read was pretty fantastic. If it is in reality anything to that effect for those later episodes, I'll be more than satisfied.
A lesser show would have waited much longer to have Walt realize Hank is onto him, There would be a bunch of filler episodes building up to that reveal (see Dexter).
One aspect of Skinny Pete and Badger's conversation is how every one who goes through the transporter actually dies and a replicate person comes out of the other end... Perhaps foreshadowing Walt transporting himself into Mr. Lambert as the 'real' Walter White dies (he fakes his death) Reaching???
Great bookends. Another little line I caught on the 2nd viewing. As Hank is coming back out to the patio after discovering the Walt Whitman book, he opens the door and the first words you hear are: "You are the devil!" by Marie towards Walt.
not a spoiler but an interesting fan theory that has been going around: Spoiler In Breaking Bad, Walt has a habit of taking on some little traits of the people he has killed. When Walt killed Crazy 8, he started cutting off the crusts of his sandwiches — just as Crazy 8 had done. Gus drives a Volvo. After Walt kills Gus, at the beginning of Season 5 (at the Denny’s), Walt is driving a Volvo (w/ NH plates). When Mike and Walt meet at a bar in an earlier season, Walt orders his drink neat while Mike has his on the rocks. After Mike is killed, and Hank offers Walt a drink in his office — he asks for it on the rocks. At that same scene at Denny’s, Walt arranges his bacon into his new age. Someone else used to do that. On top of that, he’s using Skyler’s maiden name on his fake ID. Based on his history of picking up traits from his victims — I believe Walt is going to murder Skyler before the series is over, and it probably had already happened before he showed up at the Denny’s in the Season 5 cold open.
damn, props to that guy if he figured that out. that's figuring-out-the usual suspects-as-it-was-in-progress -style perception right there.
I hate that there are only 7 more episodes left. Granted there haven't been a ton of shows I have watched as they came out from start to finish, but this one has just been amazing. I don't want it to end!!!
Ok, just watched the promo for next week, thanks 713. I think they are piecing 2 separate dialogues (Walt : I hope you are not saying what I think you are saying. and Skyler : I'm sorry.) together to mislead us. I don't think Walt was talking to Skyler. I don't think Lydia is going to let this go, I believe Walt's weapon will be used against Lydia and/or the European cartel. I don't think it is for Hank and the DEA.
