He plays a lot like Harden in style of play. Very good shooter and will be a Harden lite on the floor when Harden ie resting
It is kinda funny to me now. I liked his held follow through. Everyone misses shots, though not as bad as he did but still. I was pretty dissapointed after this game though haha <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Z7KsuyQb-1Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Great option for an outlet pass, but his defense is just atrocious. It's really hard to describe how bad his defense is until you're able to watch him.
...seems like a pretty good situational player to throw in the rotation when there is someone out there you can hide him on defensively. Not sure what happened to him in Charlotte, but considering how poor that franchise has been run for a while, it's not entirely shocking to see players with one good skill get misused. I can't remember who said it(possibly JVG), but I remember a commentator talking about how teams like San Antonio don't focus on what you aren't, but rather what you are and try to extract the most out of that skill(s) that they can. I think Houston has a similar approach and that's why they have success with guys who don't seem effective or even competent in other systems. By that token, it's easy to see how Williams can be effective on this team if the situation is right to not be abused on the defensive end.
To add more fuel to the fire to this discussion, in the paper I'm writing i have found an intriguing stat which states that Lin shot 50% from beyond the arc in clutch time scoring (last 5 mins with game within 5 points)

Audio NSFW. Also a T-Rob sighting.
What makes you so sure? This dude is a knockdown 3 point shooter who can put the ball on the floor and be effective. I'd say there is a very good chance he stays with us for the whole year barring a trade.
Williams is a shooter/scorer. He is being brought here to help keep the floor spaced and knock down open 3s. Why so much worry and criticism about his D? He is a role player that will get limited minutes. You cant have a whole team where every player excels at every aspect of the game. Good scorers, good shooters, good passers, good defenders, good team guys..... Heck, you dont even get that with All-star teams. I think he will be come a fan favorite after he has that game where he hits 5 3s. Just like Delfino was last year. People questioned the signing at first, but when he started hitting 3s you loved him. Lets just see what happens come training camp and pre-season.
