Bold move putting Derrick Rose that high. He has never been a top 3 player (yes, including his MVP year) so what makes you think he'll be top 3 this year after such a major injury?

Very true, but I agreed with the MVP voting that season because it stayed true to the original intent of the award. MVP shouldn't be about who is the best player.....or the most popular player. It's supposed to be for the player who is the most valuable to his team.

LBJ is a stud but he has two top 10-15 players on the team with him....after Rose the bulls don't even have a top 30 player. It's pretty clear which player is more valuable to their respective teams.

Not responding directly to you, just talking in general.....oh and I don't think Rose will be top 3 this season.....I'm not even sure he will be top 10

On top of that.. OP really thinks the Clippers, of all teams, are winning the championship this year? LOL. I'm sorry but a Jordan and Griffin front court isn't winning a championship.

Griffin can dunk, yay. He can't do anything else. Jordan is the same way. Regardless if CP3 is throwing lobs up to them with Doc as their coach. They aren't even getting out of the west, must less winning a championship.

I think Rose will be that good because of how safe he played the injury. I consider him to be the same player pre-injury because I dont expect any health issues because hes a year and a half removed from injury.

When healthy, he impacts the game like no other (maybe westbrook) from the PG position. Dont forget people, that in 2011 the Bulls were the one seed.

Is it though? Is it really the intent? Is it written down somewhere, because the standard seemingly changes every year. It seems to me recently it's basically just have been "the best player on the best team unless the best team doesn't have a dominant offensive player".

Sure. Its a bold prediction. But they are a very complete team now. I dont see it from OKC is year in the playoffs unless they make a move for a good player at the deadline. They will be a great regular season team because of Russell and Kevin.

San Antonio would give them a real shot. But I have them matching up with OKC second round.

As much as I want the Rockets to win it all and suprise everyone and do it our first year, i think its more likely to start a year from now as far as the WCF and the Finals go.

So, with all this said, its not out of the relam of possability that the Clippers do make it. And win it.

Afterall, i couldve just said Heat title, Lebron MVP. Mkay bye.
Would that have made you happier?

Not sure if its ever been written down....but whatever the original intent was its now a popularity contest among the best players. The "value" of players in question doesn't seem to be much of a factor.

    Wetbrook is rated to high.

As a Rocket fan you should have the Rockets winning the championship.

Westbrook is the best point guard in the league. You can argue if in fact he is a point guard but he is the best at that position.

That's not how it works. Hopes and predictions are two different things.

Not really. Making your team the best by default is what a homer does.

He isn't the best point guard in the league, that goes to Chris Paul.
