Very sorry to hear that and wishing the best of luck. When you say you are fighting genetics does your family have a history of cardiovascular disease? I worry about the same thing as my dad was health for most of his life, exercised a lot and kept his weight and diet under control, but when he was 54 had a heart attack that has never been explained. In fact he had it while swimming laps. Since then he's struggled with a few heart related issues.
Considering how the last surgery went, solid, I have no doubt that this one will go very well indeed. You are due an outstanding result, and you will get one! Thinking about you, buddy.
Yes, I just got their arteries in my neck instead of my heart. Heart wise I am fine. I think smooth/rough arteries are the issue, not sure. Both my parents died early of heart attacks. My mother was an all state basketball player and my father was a golden gloves champion. Obviously very athletic. Until the last incident, I was on no medications, ate healthy, very active, no problems. All my vital numbers are actually great. My cholesterol is around a 100. My blood pressure 130/60. Etc. Hope this helps. I really appreciate all the support, I need it. I am trying to be as positive and confident as possible. I am not leaning on my own understanding. My life is in God's hands and I have confidence in Him. I will check back before I leave town to travel to the hospital. Thanks everyone, so much.
Your cholesterol is better than mine. So far I've been in pretty good cardiovascular health except for slightly high cholesterol but I still have that bit of worry given what happened to my dad. No problem. We are a community and we're all pulling for you!
