The statistics are there for you to find. Get off your lazy ass and educate yourself before you continue with your ignorant trash.

A hoodie takes on a gang persona? What a ****ing stupid comment.

Wearing a hoodie -- not over the neck but over the head so your face can't be seen -- is like wearing a ski mask in a 7-11. Try either a few times and see if you don't eventually get shot. Altruism is fine but it's not rooted in reality.

FWIW, I'll bet I'm better known and better respected in the LULAC and NAACP communities than you are. I have debates with all sorts of people but we never quarrel because issues are under the microscope, not personalities or colors. That's why I'm often amused by your naivety.

Did you see the video of Trayvon inside the 7 Eleven? He wore the hoodie the entire time indoors. Do you think it is appropriate for anyone to wear something that helps conceal their identity within a business where cash transactions are frequently performed?

No, it is not. However, the cashier may have known Martin. I don't know. However, I agree that as a general rule, banks and stores get really antsy if you walk in suspiciously clothed or cloaked.

Um, no my face can be seen when I'm wearing a hoodie. Not only are you ignorant on racial profiling, you're ignorant on the difference between a hoodie and a ski mask. I wear a hoodie all the damn time in the winter and I've yet to be shot at by apprehensive white guy. Then again I'm not black.

We'll be appropriately sad when you are shot by an apprehensive black guy.;)

The idea that wearing a hoodie makes one appear to be a criminal offends me as a runner.

It offends me as a card carrying hipster.

Do you wear the hoodie inside a place of business?

Since a burka is generally worn by women and has religious connotations, I don't think it would set of the same alarm with the employees at those establishments.

Yeah they always get scared when they see someone in a hoodie, they clench their wallets and walk to the other side of the street. Hoodies are scary business.

Unless it's raining or really cold, why are you wearing a hoodie? If it's raining or really cold, why aren't you on the old treadmill? However, I'll bet you are on a jogging trail or routine route rather than concealing your face in businesses or in front of strangers.

I walk two miles daily with my dog, but I like to wave at my neighbors on the way to the trail. They like the fact that I will call the local deputy if I see something or someone out of place. OMG, does that make me George Zimmerman?

How many black kids have you followed and killed? Then we can decide.

Give me a freaking break.

The fact that you feel the need to inform others what they shouldn't wear in order to avoid the backlash of ignorant paranoia is the problem.

Seriously, you compared wearing a hoodie to a ski mask in a 7-11. Do you even read what you type before hitting submit?

None so far. However, they follow me all the time. Well, they follow my dog because he fetches everything they throw.

The effect is the same. Hiding your face makes you suspect.

Yeah the fact that he wears a hoodie AND runs makes me suspicious. What is he running from? The police? The scene of the crime? His drug dealer?
