The rnc is threatening to not broadcast on nbc because they think a mini series obviously promotes her can't make poll
Not the first time a corporation has back a candidate, just happens to be a huge media company. I don't like the politicians being so prevalent in pop culture type outlets (Obama on Leno 6 times) but we can only blame ourselves. The avg American won't tune into CNN, Fox, MSNBC to see a politician, so they are now just going where the eyes already are. A movie about Hillary is just going to be used as ammunition against her.
I don't know where fairness and unfairness start or end with media companies and political parties: they each have equal and probably the most important claims on the first amendment in this country. I think it's more compelling to wonder if either one of these products: an either unauthorized and lawsuit vulnerable or watered down authorized biopic, or publicity on a single network in a field of hundreds of cable and broadcast alternatives; is valuable enough to cancel out the other.
corporations have the right to free speech, just like everyone else, so i have no issue with NBC making the movie. likewise, the RNC should boycott them- should've done it a long time ago in fact.
For the debates, maybe; just make sure you don't lose the other quadrillion hours of campaign ad space on all the O-and-Os.
come to think of it, the movie is really an in-kind contribution to the HRC campaign, and they should be bound by the same campaign contribution limits we all are.
What difference does it make!?! no but seriously.. I'm not watching that ****. I'd rather watch sunday hispanic kung-fu theater or the yellow bumblebee guy on Telemundo. (at least some hot women on that show)
What's the topic of the movie? How she can't please her husband (leading to Monica) or how she doesn't care about protecting our ambassadors when she was Sec of State?
Probably about what a strong, vibrant, opinionated woman she is. Obviously something that scares the **** out of conservatives.
I think to be fair, Fox News should have GOP candidates as talk show hosts. And maybe run a few past movies that Ronald Reagan starred in (eg, Bed Time for Bonzo).
actually I forgot -- perhaps the movie is around her voting for the Iraq war, and how she voted alongside George W. Bush in support of that war.
Until they got the Right to get the Death Penalty like everyone else . . . . f*** their so called rights Rocket River
When is it supposed to air? Maybe it contributes to Hillary fatigue. I'm already tired of hearing about her. She should keep a low profile for the next year or so.
Or Cheers or the Cosby Show, and what about ALF?? Really, though, who gives a damn about this movie? Who is even going to watch it? I'm talking about real people here.
Point to where she has said she doesn't care about protecting ambassadors...oh right, you are just making shock comments. Reaching so hard now.
