A friend recently sold me his entire basketball card collection for $10. Most of the cards were Fleer from the 1990-91 season.

Some of the cards, protected in individual cases, include:
    Michael Jordan (2 cards)
    Akeem Olajuwon
    Earvin "Magic" Johnson
    Larry Bird
    Moses Malone
    David Robinson
    Patrick Ewing
    Scottie Pippen
    James Worthy
    Robert Parish

I also found Orel Hershiser and Curt Schilling baseball cards. What kind of basketball cards have you guys collected over the years?

I've got a '94-'95 Olajuwon Topps Finest Refractor, an '86-'87 Fleer Olajuwon rookie, an '86-'87 Fleer Olajuwon sticker. For a long time, I had an unopened 1973-74 Topps rack pack with Wilt Chamberlin and Oscar Robertson showing. Sold it for $200.00 about 15 years ago. Bought it for $1 in the early '80's.

I hate to say this, but my rarest card is a Karl Malone/John Stockton 2001-02 Upper Deck Pros and Prospects Alley-Oop Team-Ups Gold... Only 10 were made and I have number 4 of 10.

I also have rookie cards of Hakeem Olajuwon(fleer), Jerry Rice(topps), Barry Bonds(fleer) and Mark McGwire(fleer) and etc. I collected from around 86 to Yao's rookie year. After that I kinda stopped. Wish I didn't :(

Got some Fleer Metals from '96-'97. Number of Kobe "rookie" cards (not the "official" one).

Unfortunately, i collected as a kid (early to mid 90s) and could only afford the cheap packs, which didn't give you a lot of good stuff, so all my cards are cheap :p

I found this card at the time though, and I loved it, but lost in a car wreck.

I also love my MJ collection. I got it through Gatorade, they are jumbo cards, not reg sized:

That was where the market was going towards in the past 15 years or so. Everyone is after the insert cards that are limited numbers. I did a lot of buying, trading, and selling while I was in college and you could make some decent money if you pulled these type of cards.

I pulled a few Lebron autographs from his rookie year before he even played with his high school stuff that sold for well over 700 around that time and those were only 1/500.

I still have a ton of mid level rookies and autograph inserts that I just kept because I stopped collection on that type of level.

Here's my Harden collection, they're all rookies so no Rockets stuff (sorry about the glare, I took a few pictures from different angles, so hopefully you'll be able to see at least most of the cards)

This thread got me wanting to look at the cards that I have leftover from my collecting time for whatever Rockets cards I have left.

Talk about a blast through memory lane.

    Nachbar Autograph Rookie
    Eddie Griffin Autograph
    Malick Badiane Autograph Rookie
Steve Francis Game worn Patch 09/50
Yao Ming Rookie Jersey Card 284/400
    Yao Ming Jersey Card

I have a ton more rookie autographs of all these players that never made it in the league. It's funny to really go back and see these prospects that never amounted to anything.

Does anyone else remember the Dennis Rodman card where his dick was hanging out of his short shorts while he had his leg kicked out for a rebound? I believe it was an Upper Deck.
