Not to sound rude, but my friend always said that because of Ramadan, Hakeem had to make up for his hunger by being hungry for rebounds.

This article is another reason why Houston centers stand alone. They are just amazing human beings. Moses Malone, drafted out of high school, went through crazy hardships, made it big. Hakeem comes from a foreign country, started bball late, incredible religious restrictions, becomes literally the most dominant all-around player I have ever seen. Yao, with all of the doubters, home country commitments, excruciatingly painful and debilitating injuries, fights through it all and becomes dominant, even though it could have been a much longer career had he properly rested and rehabilitated.

The vast majority of the other great centers just don't match up. I simply do not feel the same about the Lakers centers, as good as they might have been.

I'm deeply hoping that Howard cements his career by building on his character and becoming a great person, with basketball following along. If he can become a great person, he has the ability, so the basketball and leadership will naturally follow.

Actually Intermittent Fasting, which is essentially what people do during Ramadan, can actually boost your athletic performance in the fed state.

Yeah I started eating Paleo, lost about 35 pounds and then hit a wall. I've been doing IF for 2 weeks and have been able to drop another 8. I don't drink as much water as I should though.

I've never seen or heard anyone talk sh!+ about the Rockets drafting Dream before Jordan. That itself is how legendary Olajuwon is.
