He weighs about the same size as Oscar Robertson, Dwyane Wade. Though, both players seem to be thoroughly more cut than him. I think he just has a higher piece of body fat.

for an athlete in the best league and considered a Top 10 player or even Top 8 player... 10.1% is a bit high

He is not your average Joe amateur sports man but yeah you can tell he loves his life

I believe that Harden is an incredible athlete. What people are actually seeing is his economy of effort. Why jump 30" for a dunk when he can just put in a layup, powering through centers with his strength and the and-1? It also reduces the probability of injury. And he does beat many guards with his first step.

NBA players have ridiculous body fat numbers. Just look at the rest of that list.

Harden's athletic enough and more athletic than almost our entire roster.

but the biggest thing is... Iguodala, do you even lift?

and theres no way Wall is 5% body fat.

Getting much below 5% body fat for any extended time is a very unhealthy endeavor. From Wiki:

The percentage of essential fat is 2–5% in men, and 10–13% in women.[1] Storage body fat consists of fat accumulation in adipose tissue, part of which protects internal organs in the chest and abdomen. The minimum recommended total body fat percentage exceeds the essential fat percentage value reported above.

Essential fat is the level below which physical and physiological health would be negatively affected. Controversy exists as to whether a particular body fat percentage is better for one's health; athletic performance may also be affected. The leanest athletes typically compete at levels of about 6–13% for men or 14–20% for women. Bodybuilders may compete at ranges even lower than these levels. Certified personal trainers will suggest to male bodybuilders that they aim for a body fat percentage between 2–4% by contest time.

I believe it's how many times they can press 185lbs. (without time limit). NFL does 225lbs.

The only category I don't think is even remotely accurate is the lane agility.

Harden gets in the lane at will with minimal moves, and gets to the rim on drives more than anyone not named Lebron. With that said, I go with "deceptively athletic".

His no-step vertical leap is as high as John Wall. I look at no-step vertical as a sign of explosiveness. It's what separates Blake Griffin (32" no step vert) from Kevin Love (29.5" no step vert) since both have almost the same maximum vertical of 35".

Maybe in a professional athletes world? Good nba players, especially in the Pg - Sf position typically hover around 8-9%.

Though for the average person I agree, 10% is in no way considered fat.

Athletic tests are pretty useless in basketball

But yes, Harden is an underrated athlete/physical specimen

The Wikipedia entry above suggests the range for a pro athlete is 6% - 13%. I'd say Harden's 10% is probably about average.

Pro athlete encompasses many sports. 10% is rather high in basketball.
