Only person that didn't say Harden was the writer from ESPNLA who shockingly said Kobe!

I loved how the ESPN-LA guy even got a Kobe accolade in while discussing best SG in 5 years.

still hard to believe we went from 0 superstars to 2 players that are arguably the best at their position...still cant believe we have Harden and Howard

To me it wasn't really shocking to see who he chose for the top spot, but his reasoning why he chose Harden as the best in 5 years

    'selection by default' lmao

Harden might be statistically better, but that doesn't make him a better player than Kobe.

Let's face it, if you need a player to elevate and hit a shot in crunch time, you still are going to go with Kobe. Kobe is still the best pressure player in the league - not just sg.

So if you need a player to elevate and hit a shot in crunch time, you are going to pick the guy who can barely walk? Interesting strategy there.

I'll take Harden the other 47 and a half minutes.

The question was who is better now, and who would be better in the future. Healthy, I don't think many would argue that Bryant slips past Harden at this stage of their respective careers, but Bryant's foot injury is what it is, and the impact is very much up in the air. It seems logical to me that the authors would take that fact into consideration.

The comments on that article were hilarious. They reminded me just how much I hate Laker fans and especially Kobe fans.

The writer simply said Harden would surpass Kobe as the best 2, just like how Kobe passed MJ. Not that he would have a better career, or go down in history as a better player and they LOST it!

How many comments talked about 5 rings? As if that had ANY bearing on next season? The lack of simple reading comprehension was mind-boggling.

The only good thing? Just as we have all had to endure raving lunatic Laker/Kobe fans for the last 14 years or so, we will get the pleasure of seeing them collectively breakdown over the next couple of season as Kobe and Lakers consistently miss the playoffs and get embarrassed on their home court by the elite of the NBA.

That is all media hype about him being clutch, stats wise he's lower than Lebron, CP3, Parker and alot of other superstars. Kobe that, Kobe this. Second coming of Jordan, don't buy into it

Harden: "I wanna be great and so from then on, I just stayed in the gym. I wanted to be good instead of hanging out with my friends or doing other stuff. I wanted to be a good basketball player so here I am now. That, it doesn't stop now. I want to be great, I want to be a Hall of Famer, so even more time in the gym, it's going to put me over the top."

well this puts all the rumors of Harden being lazy to rest.
