How was he gutless? Who's to say had he jumped in the result would've been any different. He did what he could, without risking his own life/health. At 64 years old those 15 year olds would've taken him out as well.
Nice try, but if you actually read the article, which you clearly didn't, you would know it was because the 3 older boys (who happened to be black) tried to sell drugs to the younger kid (who happened to be white). The younger kid then reported them, and they found out.
He didn't get beat up for being white, he got beat for being a snitch. I'm not saying he deserved it, and he's probably too young to understand what happens when you mess with drug dealers, but if someone tries to sell you drugs, all you have to say is, ”No.” When you run off to tell on them, stuff like this happens. That said, I hope this doesn't become a huge racial issue, and I hope those kids are punished to the fullest extent of the law. EDIT: My bad, quoted the wrong post.
lol just playing around... Sorry for the low jab. But of course those teenagers deserve whats coming to them. You would be surprised what 3 adolescent male teens could do, especially to a 60+ year old dude. He couldn't have physically intervened without serious harm coming his way.
This is exactly my point. He could have easily been black, Asian, Latino. They beat him up because he got them in trouble. Not because he is white.
Yeah, I didn't realize that I quoted the wrong post until after I'd done it. Already added an edit. I agree with you.
Yeppers. PEPPER SPRAY, laughing gas... what the F#)$^&#)& ever to prevent these sorts of things... F#@($*^. Oh... I see... it's that it's a white kid... and the driver is black... is that why there's no blaming the driver? You liar... You know you saw his blonde hair... unless it was SISQO!
such double standard in race violence what ever happened to fighting a guy one on one? what a bunch of cowards
Oh yeah it's really that simple to say no to drug dealers in school that you see every single day riding the same bus every single day. Yep just say no and off to the next customer on the bus, lol.. Bro, you don't know if those kids messed with him every single day on the bus asking him if he wanted to buy some drugs in the first place. You don't know if the kid is an awkward scrawny white kid with no friends or a kid that everybody likes to pick on, you don't know him. Or maybe the fact that it was summer school and you see a bunch of new faces from other school district going to the same school as you and being in unfamiliar territory, things can get out of hand.
lol@people who think a 64 year old geriatric bus driver should go rambo against 3 teenagers. this isn't the movies. it's nice to THINK you would do something. but once you're face to face with 3 thugs you'll realize you're too old for that ****.
The people ****ting on the bus driver, the guy is freaking 64 years old and probably not physically fit to go up against 3 kids at the same time. Not to mention it wasn't like he turned a blind eye he was calling for help the entire time. I bet you keyboard warriors wouldn't do **** either when you're in that same situation.
i guarantee if these keyboard warriors were at a park and saw 3 dudes beating up on someone, they'd just stand and watch. screaming for them to stop is cool and all but they're not jumping in to save him.
I am going out to get a taser, putting on a hero costume and start tasing the crap out of teenagers in fights, after reading this thread ! CURAHEE !!! I do hope that kid is ok.....and that those punks serve time. DD
Totally different scenario... If they're in my bus... and I know they're STUDENTS in my district where I work... and I have a chance to stop them... I will do something. Now, punks at the park... maybe I'll call the cops and scream, but... I don't know what age they might be, or if they're "packing", or if they're on drugs, or whatever else other matter affecting them is involved. I used to work at Crawford Elementary school in the Fifth Ward... I broke up maybe three or four fights and I learned that I was the only one who stepped in... and some kids were even BIGGER than me at the time ... the teachers never did anything. This is why teenagers nowadays run everything and get away with such simple stuff like... a school bus fight...?
