it's on. i'll be pumped for at least the first 2 plays. i'm listening to the radio, missed deeply exaggerated voice guy from westwood one. =)
Me, neither. Games simply don't matter much for the regular season. Though, it can be exciting to get a look at some of the rookies and unique players fighting to make the roster (Tim Tebow, Brian Banks).
One simple way to make preseason football/sports interesting... Bet on it. I put a small one on Dolphins -1. I think their scrubs be more better than Cowboys scrubs.
I take it back, my bet on this game is not changing the fact that its terrible. Gonna take a nap and if it's close when I wake up, I'll watch til the end.
I can with my teams...Houston teams...but not with teams out of town, typically. I could not care less about the Cowboys' depth or the Dolphins' 3rd string safety.
I agree, while I think four preseason games does more good for players and coaching staffs. Some teams do not determine a starter at some position until all preseason games are concluded. Right now, I do not think the Jets will decide on a starter until the first week of the season at QB. More or less, you still have guys competing for roster spots.
It has its function for sure...just sucks when you have to pay for that worthless crap if you want season tickets.
This. Truly a money grabbing scam by the owners. Not only are you forced to buy the preseason games, but they are the SAME PRICE as regular season!!!
I thought the Hall of Fame game was pretty good, especially the second half. Nice to see some sports again. Yeah, preseason football is pretty lame, but when it is all you have...
This is what really angers me about it. I have had season tickets for eleven seasons, entering season 12. The fact that they charge regular price for a glorified scrimmage is absurd. I realize it shouldn't be free, but it should be less than the regular season games.
Preseason is one of things you want to care about so much. You want to get into it. See those guys from college you liked compete on the NFL level. See what new sets teams are running. Watch players that are hungry to make the team make big hits. It just doesn't work that way. It's terrible.
