If they did they could just wear shooting sleeves. Wtf is that atrocity, short-sleeved shirts?

They are ruining the game of basketball.

It seems really weird, but I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it. I've never really been a fan of the regular tanks, because the cut hangs off your body more and there is less material to absorb sweat. I can play with sleeves, but my first choice to play in would be cut offs.

If the players are cool with it, there's noting to do, but wait. I agree that it'll allow fans to wear jerseys more often, BUT they still have to look good.

I think those jerseys look way more tacky than wearing a basketball jersey with an undershir. Never even thought that looked tacky.

someone at the summer league was playing with his untucked and it looked better, they were also wearing v-necks.. the jerseys didnt seem as tight as these jerseys though.. something about tucking in a t-shirt just doesnt work..

Hmmm...I think it looks a bit worse. But hey...to each his own. I would rather just avoid the sleeved jerseys altogether.

Baseball has the button-up tees, football has the pullover tees, hockey has the sweaters, and basketball has the tank-tops. There is no reason to change the basketball jersey, because it is unique and a distinctive symbol of the sport.

you guys complain too much. who cares, we'll all adjust to it if all teams go with sleeves. i doubt you guys would even really notice it much in a real game.

Heh I agree. I think they should let them wear em untucked though. Yeah that looks a lot better like that.

Any ways we all have a feeling that this is going to lead to jersey sponsors....so should be interesting.

there is plenty of reasons - $$$$

a basketball jersey is unique but it is something the average person cannot wear out in public -- you see more people wearing baseball and football jerseys than basketball -- and when they do wear basketball they have a tshirt underneath it.

These sleeved jerseys are just a way for the league to sell more jerseys that they hope people will eventually buy and wear day to day and improve visibility and help with marketing.
