I, personally wouldn't mind a R rated Wolverine movie but again Wolverine is tied with X-men so that ain't happening.. I think you want Wolverine to be like Punisher which is a Hard R rated comic movie.

I was very "meh" on her as well, except when the camera got some good tight-spandex shots (ahem).

Remembering the same actress from "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy", and knowing she's Russian, all I could wonder was, Did they dub her voice? They must have dubbed her voice.

I thought it was solid but far from great. Last act just gets kind of silly and like everyone else said Viper was just stupid, hot but stupid.

I thought it was a really good movie. I especially enjoyed the surprise at the end of the credits. I'm not going to spoil it other than say, if you haven't seen the movie, don't leave until after the credits.

Viper's hotness isn't getting enough hype in this thread to be honest, she's hot as ****.

    Great stuff Ziggy. Repped.

I just wanted to add a few things to what you were saying.

In the comic books, Jean and Logan have a weird relationship. For some reason, Marvel couldn't make up their mind on how they wanted to work that angle out. I've read like three or four different story lines where these two were actually a couple at one point or Jean had feelings for him. There is also a story line where Jean takes care of Logan's son since Logan was killed by Storm. Either way, these story lines are all over the place.

Marvel did move Scott Summers to Emma Frost though. They've been together for a while now since Jean has been killed. I, for one, don't really care for Scott Summers.

I'm really looking forward to the new movie next year. I thought First Class was done very well and I hope that Days of the future pass is just as good. I really wish someone either on the cartoon level or in a movie would run with the age of apocalypse story. I know four years ago the thought was Wolverine and The X-Men were finally going to do but it was cancelled due to funding. Wolverine and The X-Men first season was pretty good.

Watched the movie last weekend but I did not recall a Stan Lee cameo appearance. Did I miss anything or he seldom appeared in any X-Men movies?

Agreed. Let Christopher Nolan do Wolverine.

I actually watched a handful of episodes and remember clearly how they hinted at AoA. It wasn't a bad cartoon. It's been strange to see the Avengers slowly but surely supplant X-Men as the Marvel fan favorite franchise. I think the quality of the movies had a lot to do with it.

Early on in the X-Men First Class "part 2" talk, Apocalypse was mentioned. I guess that either fell through or was a false report? Or maybe it's something they are aiming to do with #3.

It would be pretty hard to do... you have to setup Apocalypse first, before you introduce such a drastic storyline. Will the X-Force movie do that?

For most, AoA isn't the best X-Men storyline of all time, but for me it was, it's the only one with a definitive beginning, middle and end.

Saw it. It was OK. Really enjoyed the "wolverine vs samurai" fights. The ninjas were mediocre and predictable. Actually the whole movie was predictable from the lines to the ending. Also if Wolverine is going to lose his healing ability, then how does he not feel pain whenever he busts out his claws? Plus they didn't leave scars.

AoA is probably one of my favorites.

The avengers are taking the lead with marvel. It's strange to me as well. I've always felt the X-Men were a better story line. I do like captain America though.

    Brother,
you are too harsh on Wolverine cause you are too true to the comics. I understand they had to change stuff up, they ain't killing off Mariko and they make Logan some short ugly dude.

I'm sure they'll change up lots of things for Days of Future Past. I'd rather NOT have Chris Nolan do Wolverine, Superman was alright, Dark Knight was great.

Marvel is on the right track and this Wolverine movie was a billion times better than the last...bub

I wouldn't want Nolan either. I would have liked to see what Aranofsky had in mind. Marvel is on the right track, I agree, Wolverine is not a Marvel Studios franchise, which I think makes the ceiling for what the franchise could be higher than what it would be under Marvel. Disney isn't letting Wolverine go R.

None of the Xmen cartoons are R and I feel they do a great job of capturing most of the feel and story.

I actually didn't mind the fact that it was non-epic. It was just a good side story with no huge super villain. It felt more grounded and realistic, until the end really.
