I don't think Morey will do anything too soon, but would you guys rather the rockets bring in a guy like Ryan Anderson who can stretch the floor or wait and try to pursue a big name in the future (Kevin Love, Aldridge, etc.)? I personally think Anderson would be perfect, depending what else we can get for Asik when the deadline comes nearer. Keep in mind the fact that we are going to have to pay Parsons much more next year, and another superstar would cost us some depth.

    Jrue Holiday
    Eric Gordon
    Tyreke Evans
    Anthony Davis
    Omer Asik

That line up is a legit threat to Rockets.

Asik should be traded to the east.

Not a big fan of the 3 max player approach. Haven't heard a good argument for it other than the Heat are doing it, so everyone else should too.

This idea, like many trade ideas suggested by fans, assumes that the target player is available, and the team that has him isn't really trying to win. New Orleans is trying to make the playoffs this season, and if Davis makes the so-called "Leap," they probably will.

I'd rather Morey trade Asik for 2014, 2015 1st rd picks and just keep drafting well. With all those picks in those two drafts he should easily be able to hit a homerun or two, atleast a couple Chandler Parsons, Omer Asik level talents.

    Build through the draft.

Why would you want Ryan Anderson when we already have a player who plays like him already? Yeah sure he hasn't develop yet but give D-Mo some time and he'll be ready to tear it up in the league. Yeah he sure did struggle but that's what you expect from a rookie. I prefer to trade Asik for a third superstar than another D-Mo.

D-Mo isn't anywhere near being a legit starter for a championship team. Rockets have to go for the gusto right now and can't afford to wait 2-3 more years for D-Mo to mature.

Ryan Anderson was a perfect fit next to Dwight with the Magic and would help the Rockets tremendously. They are already familiar with each other.

Question: Why do you think D-Mo and Ryan Anderson are alike?

3 HoF caliber players even somewhat in their prime typically always win titles, Showtime, FoFiFo, the Celtics (both 80's and 08), Bad Boys, the Bulls 2nd 3peat, the Heatles....

It's an argument for having LBJ in his prime on your team, but not really for giving Bosh and Wade the max also.

There's these things called Salary Caps and Collective Bargaining Agreements, not sure if you've heard of them.

And all but one of those teams won under the salary cap, not sure if you know that.

If our perimeter guys are hitting their shots, no need for another shooter IMO. We have a bunch of guys who can shoot already, Asik and what he brings to the table is more valuable to us that another 3 pt. specialist.

How many mins/game do you think Asik will play? How many will he and Howard play at the same time?

Playing Dwight and Asik together makes no sense at all. Rockets need a legit PF rotation player next to Dwight that can consistently drill outside shots. Asik isn't that guy and neither is anyone else on the current roster.

With Dwight in the middle and Harden/Parsons/Lin driving to the basket, Rockets can't have enough experienced perimeter shooters.

Morey has his eyes on a bigger prize, LMA.

I think there'll be enough PT for the both of them to keep both of em fresh til the playoffs and into the playoffs. I agree that Playing them together may not be the best idea, but who cares who's making our perimeter shots. Whether it comes from the 1, 2, 3, or the 4. I personally would rather have Asik as a dominant defender than another shooter. I'm sure if DM wanted, he could've traded Asik, but he hasn't. I tend to agree with DM on this one.

I agree that could end up being a very good team.

You're right, but D-Mo isn't anywhere near his expiration date. He's only played one season and turns 23 next month. He's still too green to start, but it's far too early to call him a disappointment.
