Will you make at least 30k/yr? If so, you should have the time of your life and meet a lot of really great people. Consider steroids, eye brow plucking, Ed Hardy clothing and wearing sun glasses at night to further enhance your experience with the locals.

    Should be a blast, bro!

Move to a real city like New York City, Chicago, or San Francisco.

    NYC is trash.
You will get murdered in Chicago.
San Francisco is nice...but any day the San Andreas is going to flare up.

    Better off staying in Houston.

I prefer Austin, Houston, or DC. This is only temporary, kind of a training period? I hope to be back in Austin by November.

I've never heard of an employer asking an employee to relocate for just three months. Ask your employer if they will cover the expenses while you are training.

Where did you end up moving to? Have you tried meetup.com? Its not a dating site - its designed to help people find groups of people with similar interests - like playing tennis - find other tennis players who meet up to play. ..etc. Its great for people that just moved to an area and don't know anyone. Other than that, when the FB season starts, we may meet up with other Texans fans in DFW, and your welcome to show up if your still in town.

Be careful. I've heard they inject douche bags under your skin while you sleep.
