Iguoadala makes Harden look like a scrub, I'll never forget that. His acquisition is huge. Parsons & Lin will have to step it up and Dwight will need to be superman for us to stand a chance.
Rockets and GSW are a real 50/50 series. I know we crushed them last regular season but again, acquiring Iggy is big and we've seen how much of a monster Steph can be in the playoffs. The Rockets have their work cut out for them.
The Warriors actually have an all-star caliber PF in David Lee, and a surprisingly good Harrison Barnes off the bench. Rockets still have a huge hole at PF than Morey hasn't been able to fill for 3 seasons.
It doesn't matter they made it to the second round and even steal a couple of wins against Spurs. We didn't.I'm expecting this wont be the case this season.
Imo Lee won't be in a Warriors uniform for much longer, he will be moved at the trade deadline or next off-season, and if the Warriors don't take any salary back in that trade they will have enough for another max contract. The Warriors are much more dangerous with a stretch 4 like Barnes, and that will be confirmed this season.
I don't consider the Warriors a rivalry. Maybe one day, but teams like Dallas and Utah(sux) are teams I consider rivalries. I'd like Okc to be a rival too.
The Lakers and Spurs are not villains like Dallas and Utah. I don't hate SA. I have much respect for them, and while I think Laker fans can be somewhat disconnected from reality, I've never hated LA or their NBA team. But Dallas and Utah are different, their cities, their fans, their owners. Ugh, horrible, vile, nasty, cheating, scum sucking, odious, a holes.
I think there might be a bit of a rivalry, but we will stomp this year - unless Bogut returns to his normal/best form. So rivalry in the sense that it'll be a bit one-sided. But there'll be heat in the games, for sure.
We destroyed them last year, it's going to be worse this year. This rivalry is like Texas vs A&M, onesided
I'll a add the Fakers to that list because they, along with their fans, are obnoxious. I hate them right behind the j*zz and the Little D. Those three teams I wish ill fate upon any chance I get. The Spurs, however, I can respect. Their fans are pretty knowledgeable, less slobby, and aren't nit wits.
Utah, and more recently Dallas, are our real rival in terms of really "hating" them. San Antonio's always kind of been a rival, but more of a respectful rivalry in my opinion. I always kind of felt the same about the Cardinals in baseball. Everyone in the league hates Lakers fans, so you can't really claim them as a rival. It's like picking the Beatles or the Stones as your favorite band. I guess you can call the Warriors a little mini rivalry cause of last year, but for me they're actually a very fun and interesting team. I think it's nice that Golden State actually has a decent team again. Heck, I like seeing the Clippers being good just out of principle. Sometimes I think it's healthy to take a step back and realize that things like this are good for the league as a whole. I wanna see the Memphis Grizzlies as a respected, formidable team. I mean, 10 year ago the Heat were a joke and always had been. It's good to see good team become bad and bad teams become good. Except for the Jazz. They need to suck forever.
