LOL! I just pictured Melo 'posting-up' behind the 3 point line, couple basic moves leading into the first ever attempted Dream-Shake-3.

I think Carrol Dawson, but possibly someone else in the organization, was asked if he knew of anyone who could compare to Dream in terms of footwork. The answer was yeah, Steve Nash.

Knicks would be smart to do that. However, the trade for Bargnani suggests otherwise. Melo would be awesome as a 4 on the Rockets.

McHale: Melo, anytime you get the ball, I want you to shoot. Don't worry about getting others involved.
Melo: You are the best coach ever!
    [Melo walks off]
McHale: Lin, Beverley, Harden, don't pass the ball to Melo unless he is open for easy dunk or behind three point line open. Howard, Asik, if they do pass it to Melo, immediately go to the boards.

So Melo should learn from Nash instead. Nash could teach him how to draw the defense and dish to an open teammate.

I agree with those who say that Melo's post game was already very good. He should have been working on his weaknesses, rather than his strengths. That said, his post game still looks like a child's play compared to a 50-something Hakeem. The only part that is on-par with Dream was his shooting touch.

I don't know if I'd call it a post game though...sure he scores down low but it's more of him just throwing his weight around and such...

I agree though. It's just proof of the sad state the low post game is at right now.

As much as people hate him for a three he is fairly efficient scoring

I remember someone posted a video of Hakeem teaching LeBron the footwork that got him free for the game winning layup in Game 1 of the Pacers series.
