I don't know why so many people are so eager to get on their high horses without even listening to Jones's side of the story. The eye witness is a cop (which automatically makes me skeptical to begin with) and the victim is an individual with a shady past. Yet, so many people were so quick to jump on Jones before he can even share his side. Unbelievable!

Hopefully Jones learns a lesson here. But "nudging" a homeless man? Ha - yeah right. Whether he kicked or stomped or nudged - it was hard enough to obviously leave some sort of bruise.

He may not spend a day in jail, but he definitely lost a lot of respect in my eyes.

Do either of you actually know what happened? Were either of you there? He could have not noticed him, stepped on him accidentally while stumbling around drunk, and shouted for him to move. Being accidentally stepped on by an NBA PF will leave a mark. He could have also stomped on him like it is no longer being reported. Who are either of you to judge him when neither of you have any idea of what happened? The phrase "Innocent until proven guilty" is uttered for a reason.

His own defense attorney said he "nudged him". That's the very minimum that he did I think we can say for certain.

You're not always owed a presumption of innocence in the court of public opinion.

Let me be more clear...the homeless guy said he was going to sue TJ in an interview last night.

TJones might have kicked a registered sex offender? Cut him! Cut him now!

I am waiting for Jones and actual evidence to be released before making any sort of moral personal judgement and I honestly think the rest of you should as well. If it is true that he was harassing homeless people then by all means, bring out the torches and pitchforks. There is no point in playing:

If Jones had legitimately stomped the guy, and we found out later he was a sex offender, would it have made it any better? I don't see how that argument is rational.

We're talking about Jones' character here, not the homeless dude's.

I never believed that Jones just randomly stomped on a guy, so I didn't call his character into question.

You should remember that sentiment if/when you do something that will generate such an opinion.

So if it wasn't random, you think Jones knew he was a sex offender and kicked him for that reason?

Where did they say he left a bruise? Or is this just what you think?

Why do people keep quoting Jones's defense lawyer like he has any credibility of truth? It makes zero sense to me.

The defense attorney is offering his client's side of the story. Whether you choose to credit it or not is up to you, but where there are two sides to a story -- you credit either one or the other, no?
