Probably been mentioned but the difference is white people created the word to put down black people so when a white person uses it today it's put into that context.

so overblown and stupid. he was just mad at the time and the security guard was black, so he said it out of anger. doubt he's racist, but what's up with Florida and these "racist" situations popping up recently? lol and just to make a point, saying homophobic slur is no big deal and just a slap on the wrist with a fine, but we're talking about this guy losing his job over a racial slur? i get it that he has black teammates, but still, just seems so overblown.
