Seeing the Stros tomorrow night but I realized I can't off the top of my head name a single player currently on the roster.

That's what two (soon to be three) years of 100+ loss seasons will do.

I am looking forward to seeing history being made. A team with three back to back 100+ loss seasons with two of those coming in different leagues.

Is he the guy that beat the Rays in his first start?

If I lived in Minnesota I'd be driving to Cedar Rapids this weekend to catch a Quad Cities game. Those are the players you will know in a few years.

That just means that you are not really a fan of the Astros I guess?
How can you not know who is on the team?
I could find a bunch of guys to go watch the Rockets and Texans as well that don't know a single player on the team.

    Chill out.

He lives in Minneapolis, so the Astros coverage he gets is probably next to zero. Or less than.

Who would win the Quad Cities vs Houston three game series? Appel, McCullers, and Velasquez. Uh oh...

This. Although to be fair I don't really know that many of the Twins players either. Heck the last week sports here has been pretty much wall to wall Vikings' training camp.

Well, you probably know Joe Mauer. But the 2 names to know in the future will be Byron Buxton and Miguel Sano.

Getting ready to head off to Target Field. Way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory last night Stros!

Looking forward to another game of seeing which team tries their damndest to let the other team win.

    Have fun!

Or, attempt to. Please, we'd love to hear your observations of this battle between two juggernauts.

Yep got my circa 1986 Rainbow Astros jersey and ready to go. I was tempted to put a bag over my head ala the Aints.

    fixed..

but really, i think the typical baseball fan should be able to name at least one or two players from every team. altuve and castro have made some noise for the past couple of seasons..

It was pretty funny running into the handful of other Astros fans that showed up at Target Field this weekend. I've been embracing the historic awfulness of these Stros (74 losses on August 4th Baby!) a few of the other ones I ran into enjoyed it to but many just seem depressed.

It's pretty funny too wearing my Stros gear. After the game last night I was at a bar by Target Field and a girl walked by, wearing a Brewers' hat, took a look at me in my rainbow jersey and said "Pathetic.."

I had forgotten about Jason Castro but when I got to the game I recognized him.

Another funny thing from the games were that the Twins posted facts for the Stros batters on the scoreboard when they were batting that went like this "The Twins single season record for strikeouts is 145 games. Chris Carter currently leads the majors with 145 strikeouts".

Also noticed the Astros didn't have a single batter over .300 while the Twins only had one, Joe Mauer.

Uh, you should probably hold your tongue next time because that wasn't very good.

    Also, my condolences
