You don't think toting a gun looking for trouble is street justice? He wasn't doing the job of a neighborhood WATCH...He was in full seek and destroy mode. The only reason GZ should have used his gun was if TM approached him in his car and became aggressive. He even said TM approached his car when he was at the pool house...Why not crack the window and say...I HAVE THE POLICE ON THE PHONE AND THEY ARE ON THEIR WAY! I ALSO HAVE A GUN! He was too scared to do that but not scared enough to get out of his car, in the dark, in the rain even after losing the location of a suspicious person acting strange walking through the complex to look for an address?
Yes but without George...THE ADULT making his stupid decision. Trayvon...THE TEEN...isn't forced to make that stupid decision. I'm not arguing the results of the case...it is what it is. I'm more defending the parents and the unnecessary assault of Trayvon. George got himself into this mess. I don't feel sorry for him one bit...at least he is alive and last reported on his way to bigtexxs' house where he will be showered in watermelon ice tea and fed skittles by an illegal Latina housekeeper...where they make lean in a secret lab and is delivered to third ward every Tuesday.
You make a lot of assumptions. You don't know he was in "seek and destroy" mode anymore than those that label Martin a dangerous hoodlum.
Look I think we'd get along on other subjects. I in no way concur with your assessment GZ's intentions and there was no evidence to support your theory. Take care going to sleep now
Trayvon wasn't "forced" to do anything. He was 17 years old and it is as likely he initiated the physical altercation as Zimmerman did. I am sorry that the Martin family lost their child, as I am for all parents that lose children. As far as attacking the character of Martin or his family, that is a two way street. There has been death threats and character attacks on Zimmerman as well. As I said, I wouldn't want Martin, his parents, Zimmerman or his wife in my neighborhood or near my family.
That's why this thread has had a surge of activity. People are done arguing with the case...but some feel the need to continue to assault Trayvon's parents (as if they know how they parented their child) and assault Trayvon. Some of them don't seem to actually understand the laws of consent...or that Sexting and Child p*rnography is by law treated differently any how but will still somehow attribute child p*rnography to Trayvon's name...but hey it helps Trayvon look like a Pedophile and thus justifies the continued character assault.
Like I said Zimmerman brought that on himself. I don't wish any harm on the man but I don't feel sorry for him, he has a chance to change his life...Trayvon doesn't. For sure...We shall agree to disagree. Peace out.
I don't think Martin is a deviant or pedo... But just so you know, a teenager possessing p*rnography of some under 18 is still legally considered possession of child p*rnography. We can argue that the law isn't right, but there are cases out there where high school students have been charged with and convicted of possession of child p*rnography when they had naked pictures of their girlfriend.
It depends on the state and consent. If there is consent between two teens then it could be a misdemeanor...which would put it on the same grounds of pot smoking teen. Some states are not harsh at all for two teens sexting. http://www.cyberbullying.us/state_sexting_laws.pdf So comparing (sexting) it to child p*rnography, which one person here in this thread has done is silly and incorrect. The law treats them differently and it seems the states do as well and most are not harsh on it when it comes to a minor/minor interaction.
No, two teenagers sexting is not in my opinion on par with child p*rnography. However in some states it is still a felony and carries a severe sentence. Texas and Florida recently changed their laws making then go from felonies to misdemeanors. My point was, I don't know what state you live in, but I didn't want you to assume it was a slap on the wrist. There is a high school kid in Ohio that is facing 5 counts of child p*rnography and will likely be a registered sex offender. States are catching on, but as of a year ago, when I had to research the topic, it was still a felony in quite a few states.
One last point, the chart you cite is misleading, it is discussing laws specifically comcerning sexting. In many of the states without sexting specific laws, it falls under general child p*rnography which is often a felony. Thus the number of states where it is a felony is actually higher than the chart shows.
Well that's some good stuff! Can't argue really against that, I know the sexting laws do fall under the child p*rnography laws I was more pointing out the states that do treat it as different put it more in the misdemeanor category than the felony one. My point is or was that it's been seen as different nowadays...not by every state but all the states . Even if someone gets a harsh sentence because of it like the example you gave it seems it's more because the law has not caught up with technology yet and that there are many states moving to join the 17 that has separated sexting between minors to child p*rn. From what I understand more are seeing the need for education about it rather than giving out serious punishment for it. Any ways, this was bought up because some of claims that Trayvon had "Kiddie p*rn" on his phone of course. In Trayvon's own state it's not even a misdemeanor until the second time. But there really is no disagreement here, just that I don't see it the same and it seems like the law is as you say catching up with it.
Within the state of Florida all pics within a 24 hr period are considered an incident. Each subsequent incident carries a different penalty. The first is non criminal (fine and counseling). The second is a misdemeanor, the third is a felony. Despite that some claim its ok because everyone does it, as a parent this isn't something we can condone. This was 1 thing among many others that have been mentioned that showed TM had a cavalier attitude toward civil behavior. Nice job researching the facts
Smithsonian Eyes Trayvon Martin Hoodie for Museum Exhibit. Give. Me a ****ING break. I could not even put enough roll eye emoticons for this. Just ridiculous.
I wish a "GZ Supporter" had the GUTS to tell their peers that they have been duped into believing that photo above is the Trayvon Martin who was killed by George Zimmerman, and not some random kid on facebook named Trayvon Martin flipping the bird...
I'm no supporter of either TM or GM. I got duped, mah bad bruh. Is that real? I was just Google Image searching. I just find the whole Smithsonian thing absolutely idiotic.
Some of you guys are truly sick. Just let it go...the teen is dead. What more do you accomplish by talking trash about a dead kid? You guys act like your lives are perfect and not one person, kid or adult in your hateful lives has ever made bad choices and needed guidance or help. Karma is a b****.
I'm talking trash about his hoodie going into one of the worlds most well known and history ridden museums. Tell me one reason this needs to have a spot in there? Not once in this thread have I argued either sides points as I simply do not care to argue my views on the internet. I don't understand how some of you do it EVERY DAY.
Yup, the link from mrconservative.com is real. Doesn't mean posting fake photos isn't intellectually lazy.
