Rockets summer business done

The Houston Rockets and general manager Daryl Morey have had a very active offseason and he likely concluded his summer moves on Thursday by signing Francisco Garcia to a two-year, minimum contract. The two sides had agreed to the deal several weeks ago and Thursday it finally became official, reports the Houston Chronicle.

"He was a revelation after the trade," Morey said. “He stepped right in to the locker room as one of our key guys. There was no way we’d have advanced as far as we did in the Oklahoma City series without him. He brings leadership, shooting, defense. We’re very happy we were able to work this out to bring him back."

The Rockets now have 18 players under contract and by the time it comes to announce the opening night roster the three players likely to be released include veteran swingman Reggie Williams and rookies B.J. Young and Jordan Henriquez.
