I honestly haven't kept up with whole LOF and LOH bit. I have nothing against Lin, but why would anybody follow an average player like Lin?

I was still a Rockets Fan when Olajuwon was traded. So absolutely yes.

It is not the amount of LOF; it's the silliness that is stated then the bashing. One can like and do as they please but Lin is not angelic or a demon - he just an average starting basketball player in the NBA. One thing that we can all agree on is he is a GOAT....

Been a Rockets fan since Olajuwon was a player but started to dislike the Rockets ever since Lin joined the Rockets. I still post her because I like Beverley, Parsons and Harden. Lin's talent isn't good enough for the Rockets that's why lol.

I don't post much, but from the millions of Lin threads I've read here I've noticed that only very few posters legitimately want Lin to do bad, or for the Rox to trade him just to get rid of him. I think the problem many posters have, especially the ones who have been here for a while is Lin's unaffiliated fanbase that came in the past year and derailed the discussion in the GARM to some extent. Instead of talking about the team and its progress we had to deal with hundreds of posts about how stupid Mchale was for not playing Lin 45 mins a night or how Harden was overrated and being selfish and not passing Lin the ball enough and even dissing Houston, the Rockets, and the legit rockets fans for not anointing Lin our savior or for criticizing him in any form. In a way a some of us who have been fans for a while resent the fact that the new fans were able to experience relative success this year without having endured the days when we were starting David Anderson and Chuck Hayes and somehow ascribed that resentment to Lin and were harsh on him at times. All that being said, I personally have no issues with fans of individual players, but LOF's tend to say some ridiculous things (like comparing Lin to MJ) and should get thicker skin when defending their (often ridiculous) arguments. They should be mindful that this is a Rockets forum and not a Jeremy Lin circlejerk 24/7.

 

If Lin got traded it would be chaos, we would probably go in to another recession.
