How could you watch that trailer and have any doubts that it'd be amongst the greatest games of all time much less the best GTA???
WOW I was excited at first but after seeing the gameplay I am even more excited. I will also be MIA for some time after this comes out. I wont be able to help it
Exactly. There seems to be so many awesome things associated with parachuting: Dropping things on people, jumping off mountains, skydiving, sniping, etc., etc.
Not a big fan of GTA...but you can bet your cute little ass that I'll be all over this one. Looks absolutely ridiculous....game of the year and possibly one of the best ever made. Seeing this, I can't even imagine what GTA will be like down the line when they make one for the next gen consoles.
Have they mentioned where this takes place? Is it a bigger San Andreas? Or a completely different location?
I hope they do Vegas at some point. I don't really play video games anymore but I would probably play for a minute to see what it looks like on a bigger scale than San Andreas.
The only reason is that I was super excited by past GTA's, and I liked them all to varying degrees, but in the end even though I liked the games, they didn't live up to how excited I was. I'm just trying to temper my expectations. Right now they are based on the past Grand Theft Autos.
Absolutely stunning. I cannot wait for this game. I wish it was on next-gen consoles so I wouldn't have to keep both systems out, but I'll gladly do so for a game like this. Never imagined it to go this far with all of what they showed in that trailer.
The game is in Los Santos and surrounding areas, but not San Fierro or Las Ventruas. According to Rockstar, the map is supposed to be so big that you can fit the maps of GTA IV, San Andreas, and Red Dead Redemption in there together and still have room left over. If true, that's FREAKIN' HUGE!
I saw the trailer, read the responses, saw that graphic about the landscape size, and immediately thought of the book Ready Player One. Revolutionary indeed.
missions tend to get repetitive and usually i stop playing about 10 hours in but this new one is very intriguing. Recently i've thought the golden age of video games passed. 2005-2010......maybe with the new consoles it can be revitalized.
The closer to the time it gets and the more I watch the game play video, the more excited I am about the game. I can't wait to plan the heists and carry them out with the ability to switch people in the mission, or maybe just pick a favorite and not change. The online component could also be great. The driving in the game looks excellent, and the way the environment gets destroyed in those scenes on the video is insane. It should be a lot of fun. Plus hunting, tennis, golf, skydiving, scuba diving, and all of that seems like it should be a blast as well. The only things that have me slightly worried was that I noticed in one scene of game play there are stats for the character that include things like strength, shooting, etc. I absolutely hated GTA San Andreas when you had to go to the gym and all of that crap. I like the game the SIMS just fine, but I don't want it mixed in with my GTA. I know this game has yoga, the shooting range, and stuff like that. I just hope that I'm not forced to spend non mission time doing that kind of crap to have my characters able to be good at the game. The game's not out so it's possible that there won't be any minus to running around jacking cars, playing tennis and golf, and things like that between missions. I hope I'm not forced to do exercises, go to the shooting range and eat meals or any stuff in order to maintain a character that can still fight, shoot, and run during the missions.
It might be a cool feature to try after you beat it once (like fallout's hardcore mode), but yeah that would suck.
