As calculating as Morey may be as GM, I believe Morey has a fierce temper and loyalty and I'm a thousand percent sure he was tired of all the hate (and dumb Lin fans tweeting him crap) and shenanigans and was backing up Lin as his boy. Doesn't mean he wouldn't trade him if something great came up, but I have a tough time thinking it wasn't genuine after seeing him talk the last couple of years.
I know they keep track of assists off a second pass. When I see Morey tweeting that it really makes me wonder what those numbers are like for Harden, Lin & Beverley (the 3 who presumably do most of the assisting).

D.Lee made his own worth but Field wouldn't have got that money if it wasn't for Lin...or the Raptor's management was really high when they offered that deal. The details are kinda sketchy.
Fields got the money because the Knicks were going to doing a S&T involving Fields to get Nash.
