Street Fight... You know, now that I think about it some more I'm not sure Paqcuiao would win. The reason I say this is I'm not sure his punches would hurt Yao. He would have to tire him out or go after Yao's jewels. Having said this I still give Paqcuiao a slight edge to win the fight a very slight edge. ....... ....... .......
With Yao's size and reach, how does Manny even get close to him to land a punch? And could Yao take a body shot?
Manny is probably fast enough to weave/dodge into Yao's attack and unleash a counter attack combo. If its street fight ala Kareem vs Bruce Lee , I think the little guy has to attack the joints
I was about to say, Paq would really have to work the body to wear him down but then all I could picture was Yao getting punched in the nuts repeatedly.
Street fights are never clean, so ball punches would decide the match. But if both sides agree to fight clean, then once Yao gets a hold of him it's over. Paq will never reach him.
manny spent his whole life fighting and still is. this isn't even fair. mike Tyson was so short and killed people much taller in his prime.
a 10 yr old boxer could floor you if he hit you in the kidneys or groin area. a spare tire on old yao couldn't take a body shot either. manny grew up in the streets and became a boxer. yao was slow in his prime let alone today. pacman is about to fight and is training.
You guys saying Pacquiao would definitely win have watched too many martial arts movies and you have this fantasy that a tiny trained fighter can beat up really big guys. But there is a point where sheer size trumps technique. No amount of technique and skill can trump size past a certain point. Yao could simple reach out and grab Pacquiao... And what's Pacquiao gonna do? Punch his arm a lot?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRmdNUWe0mM manny would run and hit, run and hit, till the big man dropped. no way with yao's old feet and body is he even going to keep up with manny.
This fight was actually suppose to be at the Astrodome but Wilt pulled out http://www.eastsideboxing.com/weblog/news.php?p=7095&more=1
