... Why do you dislike Lin so much. I just don't get it. So you cringe when you see him handle the ball, drive the ball, shoot 3s, and you think he is bad on defense. I guess I just answered my own question. It's gonna be funny to hear your reactions and how fast you backpedal when he starts winning people over except for the few die hard haters.
Yeah good catch there. It must have been unintentional.. (wink wink) but keep on hating though. I thought you were being sensible a few threads back but I see now. Good luck to you.
It's because he sucks. I don't know how the hell he shot near 40% from 3 the second half of the season while airballing so many shots. Btw, can someone give us an air ball count from Lin, Harden, and Parsons. Even Delfino. Cuz I'm sure Lin must have air balled a lot more than everyone by far.
being streaky isn't exactly a bad thing for your lin's and parsons', we're basically hoping that harden and dwight will be consistent and that a cpl other guys turn up on any given night, if lin turns up once every 3 games with one of his 20/8 games that's basically 20-25 wins right there, and even if he puts up just as many 6/4 games, that doesn't necessarily mean we lose.
Correct. Actually, James Harden seems to be more inconsistent with his 3 pointer than Jeremy Lin if you look at Harden's 3P FG%: James Harden monthly 3 point percentage 2012-11 : 33.3% 2012-12 : 39.2% 2013-01 : 27.2% 2013-02 : 49.3% 2013-03 : 42.2% 2013-04 : 32.8%
No Don't hate Lin and never will. Just thought since we had another Lin thread started we could discuss Lin and all things Lin...again.
This is stupid. Just because his averages are someone consistent doesn't mean he actually shows up to every game. He's a wild card and it should be obvious. Almost like Nate Robinson. You never know if they're gonna shoot 13 of 15 or 2 of 15.
You have to be pretty biased to bring up Lin's knee injury but completely ignore Harden's multiple ankle sprain that was repeatedly brought up as affecting him.
I would also say that we were riding him pretty hard down the stretch. A dip in production was to be expected.
Stop being so dishonest. Harden played heavy minutes for the first time in his career and he suffered several ankle injuries that caused him to miss games late in the season. If you are going to downplay Harden's ankle injury then obviously Jeremy Lin is a big wuss missing playoff games right? After all Harden was playing on a hurt ankle whiles Jeremy Lin missed the most crucial games in the year due to a bruise on the chest. If that is not what you think, then stop conveniently ignoring one injury whiles emphasizing the other, choosing to acknowledge severity based on your own personal bias. Note: I am a fan of Jeremy Lin.
Our starting backcourt was the best thing we had going on the offensive end of the floor last season. Why is everyone so defensive about Lin? He's solid, I like him, I think most of us like him. Would we have packaged him in a second for Paul or Rondo? Sure, but I don't get where this perception comes from that we hate on the guy.
I started this thread because people were clueless about Lin's 3 pointers. I repeatedly seeing people compliant or picking about his 3 pointers need to improve to 40%. In fact, he did pretty well and getting closed to 40% right after All-Star.
he's been like that since day one on the Houston Chronicle Blogs. I suspect he carries an agenda with him.
did everyone forget jlin did come off from a injury..if you look at his jumpshot improved as he played more games..the fact we got dwight now i dont know if hes going to have the ball at all to prove himself that he can be the best pg..Hard, Dwight and parson all got to learn to share the ball to improve and win a championship..if mchale dont fully use jlin time for them to trade him..
