Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's not accurate. That's probably some prorated monthly price for League Pass.

I was told pretty much the same thing last year from a Uverse person. Both in online chat and over the phone. It didn't mean squat when I got back in touch with them and complained about not having the channel.

They just told me to go to this site and request it: http://uversechannels.att.com/

And... nothing happened. But I hope for your sake DirectTV gets something going.

I re-upped with Directv too. Moved into a new house and bundled phone/internet with them. The deal was too good. I am crossing my fingers that Les is true to his word and allows us to buy comcast channel as an add @ 10-15/mo. Comcast/Xfinity is simply not available in my area so I don't even have an option! Get r done Murley.

Good idea. If we brought Morey in on negotiations, we'd get CSN Houston in exchange for the Home Shopping Network.

I wouldn't want him to show my hand too early but he could throw in Lifetime & Oprah Winfrey Network to seal the deal.

I actually feel bad for people who pay for NFL Sunday ticket... Directv probably has instructions to simply give it away at the sign of any single complaint.

Guess they're admitting that they know they're losing money on it and they're not going to renew the "singular" contract when it expires. That's good news for those who want NFL Sunday ticket but don't have directv.

Also heard that directv hasn't struck a deal with FS1, pac12, and TWC dropped CBS and showtime. Problems everywhere!

Figured most people who have a half decent setup would also have a real universal remote, and not one that came with the cable box. X1 remote is an RF one, but you should be able to program any Logitech to recognize it.

    Comcrap!

So I told ya'll that the X2U2 remote won't run my stereo. After posting on the Comcast Forum, someone posted that there was another remote that would program to run my stereo. I got on the chat-help and some feriner told me that yes the R2 X2 remote was available and I could get one for a $5 exchange fee at my local storefront. So I drove down to Sugar Land... but the folks there knew very little about the X1 and certainly did not have the other remote. A wasted 25 mile trip with tolls.

So, I try to go back to the forum page to post the info I had learned and it said I have been banned from the forum!

one update... I did find a guide filter that will let you limit your guide to your "Favorites" list, so one small thing.

Every remote I've had since the turn of the century has been programmable up to this one.

So now, I'm trying to get unbanned from the site, but they tell me I have to communicate with the administrator, but I can't communicate with the administrator because I'm banned.

    ha, catch 22

I'd appreciate it if someone would go to that link and post for the administrator to contact me.

So if we have direct TV, we can order the Comcast channel for 10-15 a month?

No, but PR statements have been made by ownership to indicate this may be a possibility.

You need to call the customer service line and then ask to get transferred to the cancellation dept. Only the cancellation dept has the authority to hook it up. I got like $20 off and free movie channels for 6 months but I had been with them for 2+ yrs when I called. I think it matters if you're in or out of a contract how much they try and take care of you. Threaten to leave, you'll be shown the goods.

Ok... but you still have to relearn/reprogram a new remote every time you buy a new cable box?

Just invest in a logitech remote and it will last you forever... they always update the software to include all the latest remote codes for new devices. Seems like this would have saved you a ton of time/hassle.

Most new remotes that come out are going to be pretty rigid (programmable, but really non functional once you do it)... just had an experience with the new samsung TV remotes and while they try to get all touch-screen fancy, you have to press 5 buttons just to get to your cable box guide. Not worth it.
