While we are weak in LHP, I'm not sure how necessary it is. When it comes to arms, I'm looking for guys with high potential.

 

Poop...have a feeling that nothing will get done until right up against the deadline.

Everything is leaning our way, so much in fact that we should get maximum value possible for Norris here. Especially if Peavy ends up staying.

 

I keep hearing Peavy will stay put.

 

If you want a lefty starter Astros should have in next year's draft.

 

I think he was looking for a middle of the rotation lefty.

 

Red sox prospects Jackie Bradley and rhp Anthony ranaudo were just pulled from their games. Perhaps a peavy trade but they've been mentioned with norris.

 

Ranaudo pulled after 98 pitchers, so that may be nothing. Bradley far more significant, obviously.

 

We've done well acquiring a Pawtucket player in the past.

 

As a guy who has wanted a big return or else keep Bud, I would be very happy with Bradley and Ranaudo. Not only pretty high level guys, but guys that could get here quicker rather than later. I'm all in on the rebuild, but the quicker we can start being better . . .the better

We aren't getting both of them for Bud Norris.

Ranuado was already at 98 pitches, but Bradley did seem random. I wonder if they have a trade ready.

 

With no injury reported on Bradley, I would say at the very least they feel like they have something very close working with him.

I did read they were the only place other than Texas that Michael Young would waive his no trade for, so maybe some kind of Philly package in the works there with Young
