No problem. That sucks but at least you're getting a replacement.

is there a way to get this thing to stop trying to reboot. i hold the power button down. it turns off...then it just reboots, then the google x comes up. will the battery eventually just die?

I think your phone was just bricked -- soft bricked most likely. You can probably fix it if you wanted to use your phone right now. My phone was bricked similarly when I was trying to upgrade to 4.2.

If you do it again does it bring you to the fastboot screen?

if it does you can probably recover by using one of the nexus 4 toolkits.

I used this one to get me back to stock everything.

yeah...i'm not going to attempt to do something like that. total newb.

i'm assuming theres going to be something i'll need to do with my carrier (t-mobile) once i put my sim card in the new nexus 4? or will it be good to go?

You should be good to go. Nothing really needed from the carrier.

Looks like it'll be Asus for the N10. The main thing I want them to improve from the 1st gen is the battery life. Even though it pushes a lot of pixels, I think the battery life should be somewhat closer to the Retina iPad.

I vow (and this time seriously because I've said it before, and didn't stick with it) to NEVER buy another Android phone if it's not a Nexus. Or at least a playstore edition)

Sure, sometimes the OEM's add awesome customizations, but I want flashable fastboot images, easy development, and prompt updates

Ha, that's awesome news. Google can finally produce it's own phone now.

I second that vow too. Stock Android is just too awesome, the best smartphone experiences I've had are with my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4. And for Developers such as yourself, easy to work with like you said.

is the playstore edition of a phone going to get all the updates at the same time as the current/next Nexus phone?

I'm not a developer anymore. I'm an average consumer now  Hell, I don't even use an Android device as my daily driver anymore.
