Pretty silly since not all Germans yell while talking but still a bit funny <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/-_xUIDRxdmc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/1YQAYEmwBvs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
LOL...the German guy was pretty funny but what's the deal with the redneck with a shotgun? Is that how the world views the USA? Thanks for sharing OP! ....... ....... .......
lol some of the direct English translations of German words don't make them sound any better... Flugzeug = Flying thing (airplane) Krankenwagen = Sick wagon (ambulance) kind of impersonal when translated into English, but whatever it's all subjective anyhow. Plus the women are hot and the beer is good
thats pretty darn funny - but only because of HOW the word was delivered by the german guy. In reality, many german words are very close to english because original english is a germanic language (it was derived from german). ex: GERMAN -- ENGLISH wasser -- water sohn -- son freund -- friend trinken -- drink bad -- bath haus -- house Symphonie -- symphony schule -- school bier -- beer heck - some words are even the exact same pants -- Pants alphabet -- alphabet minister -- minister musical -- musical butter -- butter note -- note zone -- zone film -- film Also, if english is your first language...german is the easiest second language to learn. English is hard to learn no matter what your first language because the rules are so screwy. but..that video is still really funny. . . .
Yeah..but for a native English speaker I think this makes German easier to understand. Completely agree on the women, especially older women. Tel Aviv has a reputation for it's girls, but there's a reason the girls I date are much younger than me. In Berlin, I found women in their 30s and 40s to be amazing.
Good post. Some small corrections: Symphonie is from Latin and actually originally ancient Greek. We don't use the word "pants" in Germany. Also, I posted this video in the UNSORTED forum before .
I'll throw another curve at you and add the SPANISH words: I disagree about "screwy." English sucks. THERE ARE NO RULES. Pronounce: twa (too-AH) twe (too-EH) twi (too-EE or too-I) two (TOO NOT too-Oh?) confused: WTH?!?!?! ) Pronounce: seen (SEEN - long E) keen (KEEN - long E) teen (TEEN - long E) ween (WEEN - long E) been (ben - short e) WTF?!?!? SPANISH is the easiest to learn. ALL WORDS follow rules and, if they don't, they need an accent. NO IFs or BUTs about it.
