LeBron joined Wade. Tell me LeBron isn't the face of that franchise

Dream is still the face of this franchise, and until someone else comes along and wins championships, MVP, Defensive MVP, and embarrasses elite competition, that will never change. Tough shoes to fill for Harden and Howard, but I don't look at either of them as "face" of anything, they have to prove it on the court first.

Lebron is the face of the NBA, largely because of marketing efforts to make it that way despite the fact that he never earned anything until he joined Wade and Bosh. There has never been a more silver spoon fed athlete in history, other than maybe Kobe Bryant.

That is so disrespectful and irrational comment to make, i hope you review what you wrote and realised how you just lost respect from a whole lot of CF's.

Lebron is a true champion and the only way he got to his pedistol mis through hardwork and commitment to his craft.

to quote Stephen A Smith "that comment was asinine, asa10, asa11 its just Blasphemes, so disrespectful"

I feel it's hardens team as of right now, it could change depending the type of season Howard might have.

All athletes work hard. Hakeem worked hard, he busted his ass and when things got tough he didn't run off to join Jordan or Karl Malone or Barkley. He faced the music, made the best of his situation and took a fairly mediocre supporting cast to a championship in 94.

Lebron is a champion, but I don't weigh his championships at the same level that I do for guys like Hakeem, Duncan, Bird, Jordan, etc. Lebron basically formed his own all-star team after failing to win with multiple 60+ win teams in Cleveland.

Dream never had 60+ win teams, NEVER. He had to carry teams that were mostly considered inferior in order to win titles. Why can't Lebron do that? Why does the media slurp him so hard for not getting the job done in Cleveland?

Karl Malone could have won championships if you paired him with Jordan and Pippen in the early 90's. Does that mean we should slurp Karl Malone?

Face of the NBA is still Jerry West Logo.

    1) Lebron is the Face of ESPN... that is probable
    2) Lebron made it very far with Cleveland. Earning nothing is understated.
It is your opinion against that of million others.

With great talent comes great responsibility
Because of the Decision he turned a lot of ppl into haters
    3) He was not spoon fed everything.

I honestly think Parsons should be, he has been the only player to survive Morrey's judgment day.

    1. Being the face of ESPN essentially implies that you're the face of the NBA. Common sense, much or just being purposely obtuse?

    2. He won multiple MVP's in Cleveland and led the team to 60+ win seasons. I give him credit for this. But, when you choke in the playoffs as MVP of the league, yes it's going to tarnish your legacy. Especially when you mentally check out on your team, ala Tmac style as Lebron did.

With great talent comes an easier path to winning. How many rings does Karl Malone have right now if he played next to Hakeem in the 90's? Or on Jordans, Bulls?

The only people defending Lebron are kids, probably not old enough to remember what the NBA was like in the 80's and 90's.

errrr the i dont know if you are trying to make me respond by saying these comments or u actually beleive what you just said..

First of all, dont be so ignorent about the past and now the present, the nba is more of a business now compared to the past, and forcing yourself out of a city isnt what it was.. accept it its not the 90's anymore. your going to be a disappointed rockets man if you hope for 1 club players

second of all, When Lebron teamed up with dwade and bosh, they were just words on paper, please be so asinine to suggest that Lebron bought himself 2 championships, it wasnt like dwade won MVP's, finals MVP's and thats because its LEBRONS SHOW.

and to deal with all of your loyal champions like the great hakeem, i counter with champs like KG and Ray going to boston and forming a Big 3 along with a guy name shaq leaving the orlando (no) magic

    good day sir

Harden should be the face and Kate Upton should be the body.

The NBA has always been a business, and it made just as much money on nationally televised games in the 90's as it does today. Business has never left the the NBA.

What has left the NBA is the character and quality of the players. This is a people problem more than an NBA problem, perhaps.

Comparing Shaq to Lebron is also a bad comparison. Shaq left a young, talented Orlando team where he had a solid counterpart, to go to an L.A team that was very young and still questionable. Shaq went to L.A to make money, rap music, movies and otherwise hype his brand name, not to win championships. This is a well known fact. Kobe Bryant's name wasn't even on the radar at the time.

What KG and Ray Allen did was acceptable, considering how long they had been in the league and how poorly their respective franchises were being run at the time. They had a very small window and wanted to take advantage of it, and I get that.

Lebron was MVP of the league, in his prime and decided to jump ship and form an all-star team. That's his decision, and yes its had a dramatic effect on the league. So much, that we have more cap regulation now and the NBA had a lockout centered around "competitive advantages". Trades being Sterned for "Basketball Reasons", and for a short while, we had team without an owner. 17 franchises that were losing money.

Yep, the decision had a big time impact on the league. Not a good one, either.

Well... You can't drive very far in Houston without seeing a Dwight Howard billboard now. Then again they did the same thing for harden last year.
