So what you are saying is, you quoted my post, took parts of it out of context, then used these out of context statements to incite a pointless discussion pertaining to Lin's popularity.

In other words, you just randomly wrote an unnecessary post that only serves to make people more annoyed with Jeremy Lin fans.

Every player needs to play better than they did last year. Coaching needs to get better too.

Morey is the only one who is safe for now...

It would seem logical to delineate the expectations for the individuals you listed. How can we know if they go beyond expectations if we can't delineate empirically what is expected of them.

Parsons, Lin, and Garcia all need to hit 40% from the field for us to be a contender. Parsons is pretty much already there. So is Garcia. With Howard they will easily top that. Question is if Lin can do it.

    I think he can.

When you have 3 superstars on a team, you only need one sharp shooter on the court to space things and you can have one defensive player. Miami and SA prove this.

But when you only have 2 super stars on a team, you will need two sharp shooters because the defense can sag onto the two stars and lower their effectiveness. We saw this with Yao and T-mac, they couldn't win because they didn't have the sharp shooters and role players around them to space the floor and spread the defense. So they were less effective and couldn't get past the first round.

So the guys on the court a lot - 2 of them need to hit that 3 at a very high rate - basically a TS% around 60% - or 40% from the 3 point line. It's not necessarily the Jordan to John Paxson for the win scenario, it's just to help Harden and Howard have more space. This is fundamental. We're a much better team with Lin and Parsons hitting 40%. Parsons will do it. Can Lin?

Right. The Fate of the game was in Parker's, Duncan's and Ginobli. Parsons, Harden curently play the most minutes. Next year Dwight will also paly the most minutes than others. Thus, they must pick up their game to the highest level possible for the longest time possible. They have the most talent and they carry the team. EG. Kobe, Shaq, James, Wade, cp3, Griffen. Norwitzki and Noah, Westbrook and Durant. Do I have to go any further.

Where is you Empirical evidence for your assertions. BTW only 10 point guards shot 40 or above and 30 players in the NBA were able to his for 40%. Your bar is set very high. By the was Curry and KT both hit for 40% and over and the Warriors were Knocked out in the second round.

Look at Harden's Game log. He definately was not consistent. His FG% was all over the place. At times he would only hit 6 of 24 shots, and at times it was 9 for 20. His PPG was consistent because the Coaches gave him the go ahead to shoot a lot. He was not injured that much, and he was inconsistent through the entire year. Look at the ESPN game log for harden and look at the percentage of field goals maked in chronological order. Your eyes will pop out. He forced many of his shots.
