Don't understand why it can't be both. They will be the leaders in the locker room together. They assembled the off-court meets with the team and they're the co-captains.
Well, if we're talking about faces, I don't see how you don't put Chandler in the conversation. Even though this is Harden's team and Dwight has had the most success in the past, if we're talking about something as superficial as posters, well you want the posters to look as nice as possible.
From all the reports so far, Harden has not shown ( or has the desire ) to be the locker leader. Its a personality trait, not a put down on Harden.

actually the heat are wade's team. ask any heat fan, a legit one, not a bandwagoner and he will say his fav player is wade and it is his team.
Harden and Howard are the leaders, but I don't think they care. For harden as long as the team is winning and he is getting his paycheck he won't care. For Dwight he just wants to smile...smile...and...wave
And Lin is the spinal column, and McHale is the brain. Seriously, even Harden acknowledged Lin as their leader. I don't know how if H&H view Lin really as their leader but Lin's the lead at least for now. I agree though that it's Harden and Howard who are the two faces of the franchise. It's like having two-face as your face. One for offense and one for defense.
Heat is Wade's team until he pisses Riley and/or LBJ. Heat won't hesitate to get rid of him in favor of LBJ if Heat's going to choose between them. Having said that, I don't think Wade's going to be boot out though because of his good relationship with Riley and LBJ.
