But he's a free agent next year. We won't have him for much longer. We don't have the time to wait or him to develop. He's got to contribute this year in order to be valueable enough to let walk for nothing in the offseason. I don't see him getting enough playing time to justify that.
does your crystal ball forecasting of this playing minute projection include possible injuries that may occur during the year? I laugh at your comment
Why can't Garcia guard 2s? Or more specifically, why can't Garcia guard 2s at least as well as Reggie Williams can guard 2s?
Glad to have him. Reminds me of Deke's time here which was great for both parties involved. Camby is still an elite rebounder and rim protector.

Marcus Camby could be a steal at less then a million. People forget. The season is so long and insurance needs to be purchased BEFORE needed. A very solid pickup on many levels. Morey put on the breaks on the youth movement and has made a really strong pivot to Win It All Now mode. Next move should be interesting (later) but this team right here can play with anybody.
Just remember everyone that Camby is on a 1 year deal, is 40 years old and wants to become an assistant coach. I don't see 3 or 4 years left in him. If anything, someone else other than Greg Smith is on the block. Training up big men takes time and Rockets have put a considerable amount of time into him. I don't think they are just going to give him to another team for nothing. I can see Smith packaged in 2 or 3 players out deal for 1 player in deal but that player would need to be a significant upgrade to some position on our roster!
Not thrilled about this acquisition, but if it means we'll get rid of Smith and a few other dead weights and/or make a big trade, I guess I'll come around later.
i'm hoping for another trade that would solidify our wing position..we need a lockdown defender and someone who can create shots off the bench who's not just a spot up shooter.
