The great thing about Cosart's fastballs is that he has a cutter and a tailer. Makes it really hard to get good contact on the ball.

Corporan is a having a great game defensively, although the umpire clearly blew that call on the steal. I want to see more of him, maybe move our all-star to 1st base or DH.

I dont like our bullpen one bit, but I think Cosart is done at 5 innings I am afraid.

I think Castro at 1B or DH--or heck, OF if he can play it--is a long term reality. When teams have a good bat that plays catcher, they usually don't want him playing behind the plate for a bunch of years (SF already talking about moving Posey, Twins talking about moving Mauer). If the catcher's bat can play at another position, it's not a bad idea to move them there if you want to get more out of their careers (because of the likelihood of injury to catchers).

This is probably an even easier decision because Castro isn't particularly good defensively. Not godawful, sure, but definitely below league average.

It absolutely astounds me how many 3rd strike fastballs they take.

It absolutely astounds me why Porter considers Wright a lefty specialist this year. I'd much rather see Cisnero against anybody that Wright against a lefty.

Why is everyone upset about the loss?

    Cosart
    Appel
    Rodon
    Folty
    Woj

That may be the best starting 5 in baseball if everyone pans out. Folty has potential to be Verlander caliber.

Another great start from Cosart. Looking like quite the player so far...hopefully his performance inspires Wojo and some of the other high potential guys in the minors (NiTro, Buchanan, etc)

The best thing about this start was that he didn't seem to have good command and walked too many, but he limited the damage and worked through the tough innings.

I wouldn't count on them all working out but their potential rotation is exciting. Can't wait until they are all up.
