No one on this forum can complain about being undersized anymore:

    C - Asik - 7'0"
    C - Camby - 7'0"
    C - Howard - 6'11"

    P.F. - Motiejunas - 7'0"
    P.F. - Smith - 6'10"
    P.F. - Jones - 6'9"

    S.F. - Parsons - 6'10"
    S.F. - Casspi - 6'9"
    S.F. - Garcia - 6'7"

    BIG Frontcourt!!!

Camby, nice addition to the Rockets bench.

This offseason Morey has signed ALL of these guys to Vet Minimum deals while maintaining salary flexibility.

    Gracia
    Williams
    Casspi
    Camby
    Brooks
    Covington

Never have been a Big fan of the Apple presence in H-Town, but I do like Camby.

    Likely front court:

    Howard: 6'9"
    Jones: 6'8"
    Parsons: 6'9" with short arms.

Not sure what position Camby would be playing there BUT if you want to go all height team you could do:

    ..C. - Asik (7'0")
    P.F. - Howard (6'11")
    S.F. - Motiejunas (7'0")
    S.G. - Parsons (6'10")
    P.G. - Harden (6'5")

Would be fun to watch for a 2 minute stint on the court.

Either Morey has a trade lined up or he fully intends to hold onto Omer until the right deal comes up. Neither would surprise me.

Nor do I think Camby makes Omer expendable.

    Agreed! It's pretty impressive.

i think it's a foregone conclusion that Young and Henriquez are gone after camp. I still don't see the Rockets parting with Covington. I think it's more likely that we move a prospect for a future pick than cut a quality asset for roster space. Morey remembers the Lin move and he won't make that mistake again.

My money is on Greg Smith, and here's why:

    1) Williams is the only other real shooting guard on the team and he will surprise.
    2) Brooks is a proven vet with playoff experience who can still play at a high level; Morey loves him, and the PG position is one of our two weakest on the roster.
    3) Casspi will play much more stretch 4 than people realize, with Garcia playing almost exclusively at the 3 behind Parsons.
    4) Smith is a poor fit next to Dwight (no mid-range game)
    5) Smith won't play any 5 because we have three guys at that position.
    6) Smith is actually a tradeable asset and CAN actually be moved for a pick.
    7) Smith is in the last year of his contract, and we won't have the cap-space to resign him.

Let me say that i really like Greg Smith. I think he's a great kid; the org has invested a lot of time in him; and he's showed solid improvement over the last two years, but i also think that shooters are far more important now that we have Dwight, and i can't see us cutting badly needed shooting and veteran depth just to keep Smith on the bench; not when we can actually move him for a pick.

Good addition...whether or not Omer stays or goes. He's just a good guy to have on the team.

not even close to 3 years.

he just finished his first full year, after spending his true rookie season between the Vipers and having a cup of coffee in Houston (8 games in the lockout shortened season)

he's the only other standing member from the 2011-2012 season besides Chandler...

    good hands
