You are off the reservation. Old Hakeem beat prime Shaq in the NBA Championship series. I'm pretty sure prime Dream would do no worse against Shaq than old Dream. Charles Barkley in his prime schooled Karl Malone period. Prime Clyde 27 RPG, 8 RPG, 6 APG, 2.7 SPG. Prime Kobe 35 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 4.5 APG, 1.7 SPG. Clyde was the better defender as well. Prime Dream vs. Prime Shaq - Advantage Houston Prime Kevin Wllis vs. Prime Horrace Frant - big advantage Houston Prime Barkley vs. Prime Malone - Advantage Houston Prime Bullard vs. Prime Madvakblahblahblah - Advantage Houston Prime Eddie Jones vs. Prime Byron Russell - big Advantage Houston Prime Ellie vs. Prime Fox or Prime George - Huge Advantage Houston Prime Clyde vs. Prime Kobe - Advantage Even Prime Sidel Threat vs Prime Kareem Rush - Advantage Even Prime Gary Payton vs. Prime Matt Maloney - Huge Advantage Los Angeles Prime Brent Price vs. Prime Derick Fisher - Advantage Los Angeles Prime Rudy T vs Prime Zen Master - Advantage Los Angeles If you would have assembled that Houston line-up all in their primes then I'm not sure who beets them if any team could beat them. The only weekness on the whole damn team was at PG and the truth is... Brent Price was a pretty damn good point guard when he was healthy, which was basically never.
Prime shaq would score at will against any player of any time in the league. Just too strong and big, even for dream. Of Course dream would also score at will at him, so thats pretty even, but it would really worn down dream having to fight 300 pounds shaq down low all game. Sadly the lakers will win, Malone and barkley are also pretty even, but kobe is better than clyde and payton its the best pg there.
Prime Shaq's peak is only matched by Michael Jordan. That's just from what I've seen though. Honestly, I think Prime Shaq impact wise > Jordan and everyone else who has played basketball.
Dream and Shaq played out this scenario and oddly enough it did not happen like you claim. Dream one, perhaps your fukin memory sux! And Dream was not even in his prime anymore during that series.
Yep. Laziness and unprofessionalism is the only thing that prevented him from being the undisputed GOAT.
u talking about 1995 nba finals? Second or third year of shaq in the league? Thats what u call prime shaq? LoL u are dellusional. 2000 or 2001 shaq was prime time, and he just couldnt be stopped, not even by triple teams. He added like 50 pounds on that years and he was really fast, strong and explosive. His prime as other said, was almost as good or mj or near that. Theres a reason they won 3 straight championships, even with shaq coasting on the regular reason, and it was not kobe bryant.
Shaq had definitely entered his physical prime by 1995, while Dream was two or three years removed from his. Skill-wise Dream was at his peak whereas Shaq wasn't quite there yet. It more or less evens out.
Kobe had a much longer run of sustained excellence, but Clyde's peak wasn't significantly far off from Kobe's
