Spring Breakers - 2 out of 10 The dumbest G I've ever seen... Spring Break Spring Break Spring Break Forever.....
Grown Ups 2: 2/10 I'm probably biased as I strongly dislike what Adam Sandler is doing to ruin his once good name. He's making one terrible movie after another that all lack depth, have the same type of jokes that he has done for ages, use the same formula, has a bad plot all around, have the same actors in it - this used to be fun when they had good roles but now they seem more and more out of place and just over the top - and the list goes on. Sure the movie has some funny moments but it fails on almost every front. I don't know why but I seriously doubt a lot of effort went into making this one. The first one was at least somewhat original, had a decent Rob Schneider in there who is truly missing here and didn't try to funny every single moment. I also don't get why Shaq is in this movie. Just like the terrible acting by Al Pacino in Jack & Jill, it is just off and the problem is that he's there quite often. Overall, the story just doesn't have any flow like the first one did because they are trying to overdo it. There are just too many 'you're supposed to laugh now, I'm making a joke here..' moments to the point where it gets annoying. For some people the same old toilet humour works but for me it was another Adam Sandler waste of a movie.
I would literally prefer to sit on my bedroom floor in my bedroom and stare at the wall for two hours then go watch that movie. And if a girl dragged me to see it on a date she better look like Natalie port man, or I she will be told to F*** off.
brave sigh........... had potential. didn't enjoy it as much as i would like Wreck-it-ralph on the other hit me right in the feels
Pacific Rim - 6/10 - I really wanted to like it more but a lot of it just didn't make sense. It doesn't matter that it's supposed to be a popcorn flick. It can still make sense. It's not mutually exclusive. Graphics are good and you really do get a sense of the scale. But story is just overwhelmingly bleh.
I just rewatched Midnight in Paris. I loved it the first time I saw it, and was reminded of how fantastic it was. An excellent film.
You paid to see this ****??? So many other movies deserving of your money and you went with Grown Ups 2??
I love Woody Allen but have missed a lot of his classic movies. I will have to add this to my list. But along the same note, I bought new home theater seating and I christened them by watching Godfather. Also was a wonderful experience all over again.
Marathon Man 8.5/10 From 76 but still an excellent movie . Saw it many years ago and had forgotten all about it until happened upon it playing on tv . Definitely a must see if you haven't seen and enjoy a good thriller . <iframe width="480" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/OK26KtN99R4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
White House Down... probably the worst movie I've seen in years. 2/10 They didn't even try with the script. Just made me angry.
Melancholia - 3/10 After about 20 mins. in I had to force myself to finish it . Took forever to get where it was going and once it got there I didn't give a crap .
The To Do List - 6/10 Surprisingly enjoyable. Thought it was going to be trash, but ended up being pretty funny and Aubrey Plaza is great.
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox - 8/10 this a pretty graphic animated film; surprisingly violent! it was really cool to see some obscure DC heroes in this. I loved that they had a comeo from Kaldur'ahm - the black Aqualad among others. Aquaman and Wonder Woman were BEASTS in this film. Nathan Fillion's voice was severely underutilized; he makes a great Hal Jordan. I love DC animated movies!
