I agree with Nero, this is a solid action movie.

Missed the credits. Can someone fill me in (in spoiler tags).

The movie itself was "meh" for me.

magneto confronts Logan in the airport...and professor Xavier comes along as well. Both played by the original actors from the first movies. Also pretty much says task will be the next enemy of the x men. At least that's what I got from it, huger comic book geeks probably saw more

    Question ...

Does this mean an Apocalypse movie is coming up? How's he getting his adimantium back?

Seems like if you take it for what it is, you'll enjoy it. Will be watching it this weekend.

Its right up there with Wolverine Origins for me. Being just a casual fan of the X-Men movies not the comic I did not think Origins was all that bad.

The wife and I liked it.

Locale, characters, story, but overall just a good action flick.

Plus, the extra scene during the credits gave me a major boner for the next X-Men movie.

For those who've seen it can we all agree that bullet train action sequence was the best **** you've seen in all of the x-men movies???

Saw it this afternoon at Sundance (best theatre in town, if you don't go there you are doing it wrong). Wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. Fun summer movie,p. it was no Pacific Rim but definitely enjoyable
The last ovie was called ORIGINS. Why would they continue his origin story into a 2nd movie? Chronologically, this movie takes place AFTER any of the other ones

Have not read any of this thread for fear of catching an accidental spoiler... might go see this tonight - does it matter if I didn't see the first one? I've seen all the X-Men movies, just not the Origins.

Absolutely not. Nightcrawler's attack on the White House, the confrontation at Cuba, and Stryker's attack on the mansion were all better, and those are just the better mutants vs. humans scenes. The bullet train sequence was basically a reshooting of Mission Impossible.

Disagree, the x-men movies were boring as dog ****, I don't remember any of that ****. The concept or idea were similar but it wasn't a reshoot. Plus it's wolverine with his claws against Tom Cruise and Scientology, you tell me which action sequence is better?

As long as you've seen Xmen 3, you're good

And unfortunately that is part of what brought the movie down for me, was it kept reminding me of Xmen 3 which was mostly bad. I enjoyed the movie, but it's not something I want to watch again any time soon. I thought Wolverine during the mansion invasion in X2 was still the better than anything in this movie, and the whole getting harpooned with dozens of arrows with ropes was probably the low point action wise. He has claws and rapid healing, why not cut the ropes and pull the arrows out after each one? Why not try to kill the archers? Instead his strategy is to run in a straight line while dozens of arrows hit him and ropes pull him back before getting poisoned...
Overall I would give it about 3.5 out of 5 stars.

"you're not the only one with gifts". was said by yukio at the beginning of the movie. and also said by professor at the end of the credits.

so was the professor in yukio's head the whole time? being his "bodyguard" and then revealed himself by that quote? : confused:
