yah I agree...I dislike the guys that complain about bad threads more then the ones that make them.

The ones that make the bad threads are usually just new and uninformed or make a mistake...

Much prefer that then guys just being a punk.

like what do you expect us to be like when you slam someone.... OHHH yahh well done!!!! MAN wish everyone was as smart you bud. Geez all posts should come through you first for approval. Everyone give skyline some rep for exposing this bad poster...YAYYYY

This might be overdone but I am tired and grumpy lol

IMO Harden is better. I wouldn't complain if I needed a star player on getting Westbrook but if I had to choose between the two and build a team around Harden is the man.

You cant go wrong picking either player. Both are dynamic, very explosive attacking that rim, and can light it up on your ass real quick. But if I had to make a choice, I would go with the Beard.

Harden is better for the Rockets.

Westbrook is an amazing tallent. There are obviously a lot of folks around here that when it comes to Westbrook are clueless.

Westbrook is not a headcase, what he is is hyper competitive.
He is a great teamate and leader and somebody you would want in your locker room. Westbrook is impossible to keep out of the lane and may have the best pull-up jumper in the game.

Still, I take Harden. PG is the deepest position in the league IMO and you don't need a top 10 PG to win a championship. A smart, low turnover guard with a good 3pt shot that plays defense is all you need.

Anyway, my dream is to trade Asik and Lin to whoever drafts Marcus Smart for him and some contracts. Marcus is going to be a great PG, amazing competitive drive, great kid, great defense, and he looks like an NFL defensive end/outside linebacker. Marcus is going to make some college kids cry this season.

IMO Westbrook is the better player and possibly the third best player in the NBA but I think it's better to have a two or three as your primary offensive option. Rose's Bulls are probably almost as good as a team can be with the Pg as the primary offensive option and this might still not be enough (I would take last year's Westbrook over pre-injury Rose)
So i think the Rocket's are better with Harden

The third best player in the NBA?

I bet you and his mom are the only people that think that.

    no...no...no..

3rd best player? Please validate this statement.

    Lebron
    Durant (are unarguable)

Chris Paul is a better PG across the board.

I would put a HEALTHY Howard over Him, and Harden I have already stated I think is a better player and why.

I would take parker over him and melo if I was building a team

So for me AT BEST ... the 8th best player.

But if I was building a team and had to chose a PG I would take Paul, Parker, Rondo, Irving and probably even steph curry over westbrook.

If steph didnt have bad ankles I for sure would.

    Lebron and Durrant - agree
    Harden - ok

You can not quantify a "Healthy" version of a player. Hell a "Healthy" Yao would be top 3 or 4.

Still, I will give you Dwight

    the rest, no

CP3 is good and probably a better pure PG but he is always hurt and hasn't really won anything plus he is older.

    Parker - hell no

Melo - if Melo had Westbrook's competitive drive he would be at the top of this list but he doesn't and he is not. No.

so I can see calling Westbrook 5 but Dwight and Harden are questionably better. Westbrook's biggest problem is his position. PG is just not where you want your best player, especially if that is your only star. Lucky for Westbrook he plays with a guy named Durrant.

offensively, harden by far! in every facet.

defensively, westbrook. harden's defense is just not there.

    overall player, i'd take harden.

Harden is better offensively, Westbrook is better defensively. Overall it's a tie.

Agreed. As a 2nd option I might prefer Westbrook, but as a 1st option I'd take Harden.

Worthless and r****ded threads like this one clutters up the GARM and cause other even dumber posters to participate. It is pointless and needs to be locked. The problem is with all these new members that somehow get it in their head that whatever asinine idea that pops up in their noggin deserves its own thread.

My problem with these "hyper competitive" players si they talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Developing a deadly 3 pt shot should be easy for WB, guys like Lowry and Rondo started out with a broken J and turned into average 3 pt shooters, someone like gets the "competitive" rep but honestly I don't know if he has improved from his first years in the league, he was already an aggresive defender and athletic finisher during his rookie year.

Harden oth started out being benched by Thabo Sefalosha and is now considered a top 3 guy at his position. That's constant improvement, and IMHO that's what makes Harden better.

I prefer Harden's game as he is a better playmaker/facilitator. I believe you can win with Harden more easily than you can win with Westbrook.

That being said, Westbrook is a matchup nightmare for every team in the NBA, Miami included.

Just saying melo does everything better then westbrook from offensive standing...also can play multiple posistions and multiple styles of offense (post/cut/onbreak/spotup/PNR)

    melo> and its not close

Melo has the most offensive skill in the nba.

Westbrook is better playmaker...more assists, higher ast%. He shoots a lot, but that doesn't mean he isn't good playmaker.
