So when all the time you said he started his career as a Prototype PF, Then was moved to Center because of Height. You see that Omer Asik is a True 7'0Center. Would D12, be a good a Power Foward starting for the rockets. I say, yes and bunch of buds at work says he would be good at spot. Forget about how the Nba is undersized and think about what a true height Pf would be. I see D12 signed up to be the next Power Forward for the Houston Rockets.
im sorry go ahead and lock it. I was just randomly thought of the idea but said heck might as well trade Asik for KFC Bucket deal. Lock the thread.
Why not just post a link to the threads talking about it instead of rolling your eyes at the OP. He/She might not have access to the search function.
I need LeBron for these numbers.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Z6yShJYeg04" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I have not seen a thread about this subject specifically, but I think it needs to be discussed. Most important detail to me is past success at the position, but I cannot find any PF minutes played on 82games the last three seasons. He may be more of a pure center than he looks.
He will do better than last year. He was trained by this overweight Chuck Person in the lakers. Now with Hakeem he will be trained by a real skilled trainer.
With Dwight's agility and athleticism, I think he can actually play the PF spot. But if it means his dominance and effectiveness are hugely weaken, I will say hell NO.
search function doesnt work for members from what I understand. Heard if you contribute you get that right, its been about a month and a half since I contributed and havent recieved it. Some people dont get the privilege. Even though I believe everyone should get edit rights, and search rights.
I know many would like Howard to play the 4 because of Asik, but the truth is, the only role Asik will have is backing up Howard. It's just not a good idea to play them both on the floor at the same time. They are both centers.
Once again...we closed the season with Asik and GSmith starting and playing substantial minutes together at the power spots. If GSmith can play PF and be effective next to Asik then there's absolutely no reason why Dwight can't be even more effective next to Asik.
Against certain match ups....maybe Full time? Absolutely not. Dwight's greatest strengths are around the basket offensively and defensively. Playing the four would take him away from that too often. We need him around the basket as much as possible on both end of the court.
