I've got two games saved on my DVR, the Spurs at Houston in late March, a tremendous game, and game 5 against the Thunder, ditto. When I can't take the wait any longer, I watch one of them. It helps, but you also see things in those games that would have been impacted by Dwight being on the team. Like our defense whenever Omer sat down. Yeah, I can't wait either!

I've been watching his vids for a couple months and he seems to be objective with his opinions.. He even gave Mchale kudos for his defensive schemes in the OKC series; he really loved the D on Durant.

I'm truly amazed that the lakers had him posting up on the right block almost as much as the left block, that'd be like Golden state designing their offense for Curry to only take shots at 26 feet and out.

This is actually pretty common in the NBA. For whatever reason, many coaches simply refuse to move away from "symmetry", and they have their players spend time practicing mirrored plays from both the left and the right side of the court. They seem to assume that if you attack both sides equally, it "doubles" your chances of success or forces offenses to do twice as much work or something. The reality is that most players, even extremely good ones like LeBron James, have spots/sides of the floor where they are most comfortable and for whatever reason hit their shots at a much higher percentage.

Obviously it'd be nice if they could hit their shots from both sides of the floor, but for whatever reason, people just aren't built that way. I mean, you could extend the "symmetry" argument to anywhere on the floor, as in "you should be able to hit any open shot anywhere on the court," but we all know that isn't true either. Or perhaps a better example is expecting a baseball player to hit from both sides of the plate.

Right hand players generally shoot better going left. Left handed players generally shoot better from going right.

The reason is because for a right handed player, they don't have to turn their body to shoot when going left. They are already in position. But going right, they have to pivot and turn more.

So depending on their plays and which direction they are going to be going when catching a pass or driving, they will shoot better from certain spots.

The interior defense will be insane and our defensive/offensive will also be 1st class.

I can't wait for this season to start!

Its going to be exciting season for sure. I think personally Jeremy Lin is gonna blend in well with D12. He made Tyson Chandler look good in the Knicks with the highlight dunks. I remember CP3 doing those awesome assists as well back a couple of years ago in NO. If we do better then the Clippers this season I will be impressed.

So basically its comparing between Dwight and Asik. And then whenever Dwight's numbers shown is lower than Asik, he pull out the 2010-11 stats to back up that Dwight is better than Asik.....

I'm guessing this is pretty much the reason why Dwight signed a max contract while Asik signed for half of that. Dwight is better than Asik, not to mention Dwight IS the best center in the league now.
