Westbrook is slightly better than Harden IMO but it doesn't matter because both of them are the best or 2nd best at their position.

We've seen what Westbrook can do with a dominant second star and Ibaka covering his defensive weaknesses. Let's see how Harden does with Howard. I bet Harden is easily the best SG in the league this coming season, while Westbrook will drop to 2nd or 3rd.

Gotta love people asking questions that have no possible right answer - just IMO answers. Not! If the thread broke down both of them last season into their components and compared and contrasted them in detail it would be a worthwhile read. But this thread is just a poster child of why people should not be allowed to start threads on the GARM until they have hundreds of posts.

WB is better but good SG is more valuable, just like Asik is not a great 2 way player but he worth more as a center.

About even IMO. Maybe slight edge to Westbrook but he's had more of an opportunity than Harden thus far in their careers. We'll see how they come along down the line.

Personally I think Harden is the best 2 in the game right now, but I can see an argument being made for last season's Kobe.

Westbrook is a better player in a vacuum because of his elite athleticism and physical tools but Harden's game is more well rounded and will age better. Westbrook doesn't really make anyone else better and it is difficult to cater players around him where Harden really fits with any lineup.

Westbrook is a much better defender, it's not even close. For that reason, Westbrook is better.

People here are taking a dump on Westbrook. You all saw what OKC went through without him in the playoffs.

Both players play differently. You surround Westbrook with Howard and the duo isn't as effective on offense

Westbrook as Derrick Rose would be gold on a strictly defensive team like on Thibodeaux's team

I think you'll see improved d from harden next season simply due to him not shouldering such a load on offense. I remeber him being a better, albeit not great, defender in okc than we saw last season.

Gotcha...don't think I really read the second part of your post the first time. It would've made more sense if I did in retrospect.

At the end of the day, if there is 5 secs left on the clock 4th quarter, game tied, who do you give the ball to? I say harden, its not even close...

Harden better playmaker, shooter, scorer and most importantly makes his teammates better.Westbrook is more of an athlete with better D.

Harden. Doubt Westbrook could lead a team himself.
