Good analysis. Pretty much my own thoughts.

Honestly.. I see the Rockets really dominating next season.

Rockets were one of the best teams in the league when Asik was on the floor. Now with both Dwight or Asik being in the game at all times, it will be like Asik never leaves the floor. Plus, Dwight drastically improves the half-court offense. Teams will have to worry about him inside, which opens up shooters to get even easier shots than last year. Plus Dwight can score himself better than Asik. And, the pick and roll will be improved.

So the great defense and rebounding down low will last all game, and the half-court offense will be much improved when Dwight is on the floor.

Plus, every individual player on the Rockets should be improved from last year, and the core of the team apart from Dwight has a year of experience playing together. So the team would have improved even if they didn't get Dwight.

Overall, the team gets MUCH better.

 

Ahhhhh! I just want the season to start already! I've downloaded some of last year's best games and rewatched them all just to calm me down.

Lin and Harden should be a good fit with Dwight on defense, as they are both ballhawks.
