They weren't ready to ship immediately when I saw them on the Play Store. It said something like August 7th.
Hope their will be a Chrome browser extension that will allow you to stream over local media files from your hard drive.

Hopefully Google Fiber actually gets these other ISPs to step up their game and stop ripping customers off with **** prices for low speeds.
Any idea on when? I'm suppose to be signing up for a cable and Internet for my apartment next year and don't want to be strangled on a 12 month contract.
Just a heads up, I tried an mkv file and the audio didn't work. I looked it up and others had the same problems, some mkv's work depending on the encoding. Might want to double check other formats to see how the browser handles them. Anyways looks like I'll be at Best Buy first thing Sunday morning trying to get one.
