Just ignore him. Every Astros player sucks and couldn't possibly have value. According to him, we should have cut Biggio in 1988 when he only hit .211 as a rook.

no one said im trolling dude, why would you trade harrell when his trade value is at an all time low? srsly what do you think we'll get for him? a organization 10-15 prospect ? we all know harrell has the potential to make it happen and we're not going anywhere so why trade him away for scraps

Maybe you would trade him because he doesn't fit into your future plans. Maybe Luhnow can get more for him than you think. And saying his "trade value is at an all time low", that line is usually reserved for someone who at one point had huge trade value. Harrell has shown enough ability to likely bring back something worthwhile.

harrell trade value was high during the off season. Luhnow even commented on it during the off season when he said it would take a "significant" package for them to trade him. how significant do you think the package would have to be now?

I guess "high" and "significant" are both relative. In any case he was never a possible top of the rotation guy that was gonna be in high demand by contenders. As the GM I would expect him to speak very positively of his players, especially when it comes to trade value. I mean obviously he hasn't helped his value this year but last year was always the outlier of his numbers. I wouldn't expect Luhnow to just give him away but don't think he was ever a huge piece anyway.

Plus if his attitude is poor then moving him could be good fr a young team. Not necessarily saying it is but from some reports lately he might not want to be here anyway.

I'm much more interested in the Bud situation, I hope we either get a huge return or keep him. With all the arms on the come I could still see him a dominating reliever at some point as opposed to a mid rotation starter

That is ugly. Doubt it puts them in market for a starter though, they have Beachy ready to return and were probably gonna move Medlin to the pen. I doubt they would see a trade target as much better than Medlin

The Red Sox are monitoring Astros starter Bud Norris, but there’s growing evidence that Norris might not fare well in the AL East.

“He’s not ideal for Boston,” said one veteran talent evaluator. “He’d be better off in the National League with the Cardinals or a team like that. But if you’re desperate he’s certainly a respectable starting pitcher, but just not the impact guy you’d be looking for. Given Baltimore’s state of the starting rotation, he might fit better with them.”

Perhaps the Braves will move on Santana, Chicago White Sox righty Jake Peavy or Houston Astros righty Bud Norris. But none of those pitchers is a No. 1 starter, and the acquisition cost for each could be exorbitant.

    ...

The Cardinals obviously could use another quality starter, but according to major-league sources, they’re not actively pursuing Norris and they’re not interested in Toronto lefty Mark Buehrle.

    ...

One rival executive said Wednesday that the package the Cubs extracted from the Texas Rangers for Garza only will increase the Astros’ demands for Norris, who might only be a third or fourth starter, but at least is under club control through 2015.

Because he needs to grow up and the Astros need that distraction removed from the team.

He needs to make way for the better prospects anyway. He doesn't have a spot on this team.

"cut X" is your standard post after any individual at bat...and you don't think you're the troll or understand why any of us would think you're a troll? Ok...

He's not a part of the future. He's never going to garner a top 5 organizational player. If they can get some depth for him, make the deal.
