Tell us more about how the white man gets a raw deal, and any mention of exploiting the resources/populace of entire countries is just the perpetuation of white guilt for past transgressions.

 

My point was that those who view things as a monolith -- e.g., the white people all benefit from X, or the black people all lose from Y are just having a pity party. The world is more nuanced than that. White people aren't "out to get blacks". When blacks say something like that, they're just feeling sorry for themselves and making excuses.

You're damn right it's nuanced.....but if I went that deep you would be lost.

 

I completely agree with this sentiment.

Only it didn't really seem like you were pointing out grey area as much as you were taking up the opposite extreme. "That was hundreds of years ago" isn't really valid considering the fact that exploitation is more subtle & socially acceptable than it is a problem of the past.

Maybe it was just hyperbole.

Oversimplification. My mistrust is based on more than the fact that they don't produce as much melanin as me......it is primarily the result of the systematic way they have destroyed my family and millions like us.
